We have just come back from a fabulous 15 day tour of Sri Lanka with TravelScapes, the local company used by Webjet. Many people had pulled out, due to concern about the recent troubles, which was such a pity. People who rely on tourism are really struggling. We felt perfectly safe the whole time, and the extra security was a reassurance. The itinerary was varied and interesting, including safaris in 2 National parks, where we saw many wild animals, including over a hundred elephants, and a leopard which walked in front of our jeep, for at least 10 minutes. We visited temples, a tea plantation and climbed to the top of Lions Rock at Sigiriya! Hotels were of a high standard, especially the beautiful colonial Mount Lavinia and Heritance Ahungalla, where we enjoyed a relaxing beach stay. We had delicious included breakfasts and dinners every day. Our guide/ driver, Weji, was very knowledgeable, and took excellent care if us during our tour. He kept us very entertained with his anecdotes and stories! He also organised excellent guides for Minneriya, Yala and Sigiriya Rock. A trip to remember! We've just returned from a 2 week trip to Sri Lanka, organised by JourneyScapes. We've just returned from a 2 week trip to Sri Lanka, organised by JourneyScapes. Samadi put the itinerary together for us so that it included everything we wanted to see, and paid attention to what we were looking for in the way of things like accommodation (we prefer places with personality). Our driver, Mr Milton, was fantastic. He speaks excellent English and is a very confident driver. He was also happy to not take us to places like shops. The accommodation was excellent, and everything worked out fine. It was never going to be an inexpensive trip (I've noticed people on the forums saying how much cheaper you can 'do' Sri Lanka by yourself), but we didn't want that kind of trip. If we'd planned this same holiday ourselves, it would have been considerably more expensive than it was when booked by a local agent, and in that way was very good value for us. I'd happily use JourneyScapes again, and have no problem recommending them as a good inbound agent. We had a wonderfull week in Sri Lanka wit our Guide Wije from journeyscapes. We had a wonderfull week in Sri Lanka wit our Guide Wije from journeyscapes. We visited the south of Sri Lanka (Kandy, tea plantation, Yala national park, Gale, ...). The tour was perfectly organized with very good Hotels and many different experiences. Our driver Wije speaks a very good english, explained a lot of things about Sri Lanka but gave us also enough private time - it was a wounderful time with Wije. He gave us many good tips, organized the best jeep driver in Yala national park and made our trirp very comfortable. We had a wonderfully enjoyable holiday in Sri Lanka with a deal from Webjet Exclusives. The 8 night /9 day tour took in mostly the inland areas of the island. We visited historical sites, including climb up to Sigirya Rock, tea plantations, national parks (Elephant Safari), etc. Our local agent, Journey Scapes provided our Guide, Janaka, a comfortable minibus and a relaxed itinerary to enjoy the different locations. We had time to sit back at our exceptional 4 star hotels and sip on a cocktail. Janaka was so knowledgeable about his island, cultural sites and local wildlife and flora. Friendly and relaxed, nothing was a bother if we wanted to go or see something different. We would definitely ask for Janaka again. I would highly recommend a trip to Sri Lanka, you'll have a memorable time.En dejlig rundtur hvor vi fik set skøn natur og indblik i kultur og historie. Vi anbefaler på det varmeste Deva, vores unikke guide og chauffør. Han var på forkant og vidende om landet og meget hjælpende.
