Highly recommend these classes to visitors and locals both. My wife and I are local to Santa Fe. We took the Colorful Pet Portraits with Mickey Bond class. I was a beginner, my wife a bit more experienced. Mickey is great teacher, patient with a beginner, and highly creative. She taught us a few different ways to use mixed media and photo transfers to create some fun, creative portraits of our dogs and cats.I recently took a mixed media art class with Mickey at the Artful Soul in Santa Fe. It was an amazing experience. I had no previous experience and with Mickey’s patience and guidance, I left inspired and ready to take on more projects. Loved it!

We always look for an interesting art experience when our granddaughter spends time with us in Santa Fe during her summer vacation. This time, we booked a Mixed Media art session with Mickey at Artful Soul. We had a wonderful time and learned several new artistic techniques that we look forward to trying on our own. The facility is conveniently located downtown. Everything you need to create your own unique “masterpiece” is included in the session fee. The studio is very comfortable, and we felt truly inspired by all of the great artwork on display. Mickey is an outstanding teacher. She explained and demonstrated the process of making a mixed media art piece, and we were guided to create a couple of practice pieces before embarking on creating the unique piece of art on a wooden panel that we could display in our home. We had so much fun, and we are proud of our new creations! We will definitely do this again.
