I’m sorry, but this tour was a mistake. It was 115 degrees and we hit every single rim on the south Canyon. It was miserable. We were supposed to have lunch included, but reservations were never made, and we ate outside. Our tour guide talked Non stop. Which is great, but we had very little peace to just take in what is supposed to be sacred views. He was in most of my photos too, and he gave me a headache. We booked the Angel’s Gate full day tour of the Grand Canyon for a large family group, most of whom had never been to the Grand Canyon. It was the perfect introduction to this awe-inspiring destination. The manager, Donna, was professional and easy to work with, making valuable suggestions regarding the tour options. The comfortable mini-bus arrived at our Flagstaff hotel promptly in the morning and whisked us off to the Sunset Crater and Wupatki National Monument before stopping for a delicious Navajo-inspired lunch at the Cameron Trading post. We entered the Grand Canyon National Park through the east gate and spent time at several incredible overlooks that are missed by many visitors. We worked our way along the south rim with final stops at the classic sites near the GC visitor center. I cannot say enough about our fantastic guide and driver, Sheldon. He went above and beyond to make the day perfect! Besides sharing his wealth of knowledge and humorous stories, he made sure that we were always comfortable and frequently asked what we would like to do. His experience really showed, with things like pre-ordering lunch, so we could maximize our time at the GC. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to walk around and soak in the grandeur of the natural wonders. I highly recommend this tour. Our tour was confirmed with a hotel pickup at 8:25 am our guide, Chris, was on time and friendly. Our tour group consisted of 9 adults and Chris in a large van. Our tour was confirmed with a hotel pickup at 8:25 am our guide, Chris, was on time and friendly. Our tour group consisted of 9 adults and Chris in a large van. Water was available and we were encouraged to stay hydrated during our tour. Chris seemed well versed in the geology of the area we were to tour and the customs and peoples that populated the area. The tour was all day and included an excellent lunch. Stops included the Wupatki Crater volcano Ruins, the trading post, and several spots along the south rim of the GC. Chris kept us informed along the way telling us about what we would see next and some historical stories for context. Great trip
