Corroboree Billabong Wetland Cruises - 2 hour Sunset Cruise
Overview
Corroboree Billabong is part of the beautiful Mary River Wetlands and apart from teeming with birdlife, it boasts the largest concentration of saltwater crocodiles in the world. View these prehistoric creatures in their natural environment cruising past our vessel or basking on the banks.
The sunset cruise allows you to view the wildlife during their active periods. Birds are trying to catch their final meals for the evening and crocodiles are on the move ready for a night of hunting. Add to this a spectacular sunset over the floodplains as we gently cruise around the Billabong and it`s easy to understand why this is one of our most popular cruises. Guests are provided with amazing photograph opportunities throughout the entire cruise as the sun sinks below the horizon. We are the only company in this region offering sunset cruises to their customers.

I had a great time on the sunset cruise with Allan. Extremely knowledgeable about the local environment. Saw a lot of wildlife which was great for a photographer. Would recommend again! Also thanks to Sandy for assisting with the bookings!

What a wonderful cruise. Thanks Sandy our captain & host for a very informative 2 hours of local knowledge passed on with a bit of humour thrown in. We saw plenty of crocs & bird life to get our money’s worth. The most magical spot was the narrow creek filled with massive lily leaves that engulfed our boat. We girls had fun having our photo taken wearing a leaf for a hat decorated with pink lily. Sunset was stunning. At the end we asked Sandy & Alan how they rated the evening compared with their other nights and the answer was average. Average! No way. We have previously done the Yellow Waters cruise and it was disappointing so we will be recommending this company in future. This was an amazing experience and made truly exceptional by our wonderful tour guide Alan who was incredibly informative, had a great sense of humour, seemed to love his job and nothing was too much trouble for him. This was an amazing experience and made truly exceptional by our wonderful tour guide Alan who was incredibly informative, had a great sense of humour, seemed to love his job and nothing was too much trouble for him. He also had a really clear voice which was very easy to understand. Makes a HUGE difference if you're hearing impaired as I am. Cannot praise him highly enough and the sunrise cruise would have to be the most enjoyable tour in our 3 month trip. We saw thousands of birds, crocs, wild buffalo and pigs but the best were the Jacana, Jabiru and Brolgas. The morning colours of the wetlands were spectacular.Fantastic cruise our guide Allan was very knowledgeable and entertaining would highly recommend this cruise to everyone.
