Our Community Experience Tour was great! If you visit Rwanda, you should have this experience. Our guide, Serge, was clearly familiar with the village we visited. There was no uncomfortable sense of voyeurism. We started with a survey of local cottage industries which were notable for their particular skills. We also purchased some of their products...huge win! We then roasted our own local coffee and sweetened it with local honey. We enjoyed a dance from the local dance troupe...so much fun! Finally, we cooked some food in the local style and enjoyed a meal of local cuisine and banana beer. (We enjoyed the banana beer...we'll try to get some once we get home.) This was a great experience and very rewarding to learn the local culture. It was wonderful experience. I got to opportunity to explore the real Rwanda. I observed the local culture, food, dance and many more. The tour guide was so good. It was real value for my money.
