This tour was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed the tour of the Panama Hat Factory and learning about the history of the factory. We were also greeted there with a warm beverage when we arrived which was a really nice welcoming touch. Afterwards, we visited several different areas around Cuenca. At each area, we were given lots of interesting information about the area and allowed some time to walk around, take pictures, and ask questions. This was a great tour. I wish we had done it at the beginning of the week, though, rather than our last day in Cuenca. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Cuenca. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Cuenca. Our guide Sebastian, whose English is excellent, gave us a great introduction to the city. He took us to places we would not have found otherwise (the ceramics shop and the last tin smith in Cuenca) which was really special. He also told us local tales and legends, like the headless priest. He pointed out the varieties of architecture and unique features of the city such as the concrete crosses on the sidewalk in building corners to keep people from relieving themselves. These things made the city more human and interesting. We had a great time and were fortunate that Sebastian was to be our guide the next day as we went on the Craft Town tour. This was family (elder parents), but TripAdvisor did not give here as a choice. I state this because our tour guide was aware of our situation and tended to the needs of my elderly parents. This was family (elder parents), but TripAdvisor did not give here as a choice. I state this because our tour guide was aware of our situation and tended to the needs of my elderly parents. Herman, our guide was extremely knowledgeable of the history of Cuenca and all its culture. We enjoyed the trip to the hat factory where Herman was also knowledgeable about the hat making process. We highly recommend Herman and this half day tour.Had an excellent tour with this company. It was just wife and i and cost us $100. Had an excellent tour with this company. It was just wife and i and cost us $100. We toured the lower part of the park which was about a one hour nature hike. Guide was knowledgeable and accommodating. Then we headed up to tres cruces peak which was cold. We opted out of the second hike halfway down the mountain because the wind and the temperature was way too cold. Then we headed for a delicious trout lunch and then back to hotel for a siesta. These guides know Cuenca! We loved walking through the Historic District listening to all the interesting information. These guides know Cuenca! We loved walking through the Historic District listening to all the interesting information. Their English is excellent. We loved the architecture, the views, and the market. I would do this tour at the beginning of your stay in Cuenca so you know what to go back and see when you have more time. This half-day tour is well worth the time. Highly recommended! My wife and I joined our guide in his car for this tour. He was knowledgeable, willing to pause and answer questions whenever we wanted. My wife and I joined our guide in his car for this tour. He was knowledgeable, willing to pause and answer questions whenever we wanted. Nice guy. Got a good overview of the city before our 7 day stay. So we knew what to go back to since we had only passed by most attractions. We ended when he parked the car and walked us through a food market and flower market till we ended close to our place. Very helpful first day
