Everything was perfect from the very beginning of the tour: detailed and clear description of the tour, start on time, comfortable car. The tour itself was also very interesting: I wanted to know what the culture of indigenous peoples really was like, this tour was a great opportunity to do that, the explanations were very detailed and interesting. I especially loved the church in Chamula, it is an amazing place with a unique culture and incredible experience - you will love it! I also really liked the cemeteries; visiting them is not included in standard tours, but it helps to feel the special atmosphere of the villages. I liked Zinacantan too, it was very interesting to see traditional textiles and try local homemade food and even make tortillas myself! Rudy was polite, knowledgeable and answered all my questions, I was never bored throughout the entire tour. Totally recommend!Rudi was an excellent tour guide. We got a great exposure to the history and culture of Chamula and Zinacatan. A truly special experience. Strongly recommend it!!

I highly recommend this tour of Chamula and Zinacantan! Over the course of 5 hours, we learned so much about Chiapas, Mayan culture and the syncretism between catholicism and Mayan beliefs. This was the perfect way to end our 2 weeks in Chiapas. Rudy was not only extremely knowledgeable, he was also very kind and understanding. Unlike other tours, this did not feel rushed. We had plenty of time to visit and ask questions. Food-wise: We stopped for hot chocolate for breakfast and went to a restaurant with delicious food (and an amazing view over Chamula). This tour was the highlight of our time in Chiapas. Rudy our guide is certainly qualified for this! He grew up in the region and has worked in an NGO which provided opportunities to Indigenous people of the area. He has a heart for teaching. He also speaks really good English! We witnessed his attention to detail in his very knowledgeable explanation of the customs, traditions, and current struggles of the wonderful residents of Chamula and Zinacantan. Rudy is a charming man who gave us his best in the tour, and his very informed and thoughtful responses to our many many questions. We certainly feel we have a connection to this interesting area of the world and encourage others to experience this awesome tour with Rudy.
