Obviously, this is a very sobering memorial and reminder of how nasty human beings can be to their fellow kind. Having said that, it is a very compassionate and informative memorial. Our guide, Carlotta made it an even better experience. She encouraged interactive participation and thought from her guests. As she pointed out to us at the onset of the tour, you would have to spend days at the memorial and museum to fully absorb all of the information provided. Very nice tour. At a time in history when some are trying to erase the past and deny past sins and atrocities that set the world at war, this is a significant and sobering experience as to why remembering the past matters. While there we saw bus loads of teens learning the history one assumes of their country's past and the why and how nothing like that should ever happen again. The exhibits are well organized and in several languages plus some multi-media aspects. Not for young children under 12 I would say but a place for reflection and remembrance for all those lost. As Americans Zi wish we could confront our past with the same reasoned and intelligent response.Thank you very much Charlotta (I am sorry, not sure what is the exact spelling of your name) for helping me to find a name of my great uncle in the registry of Dachau prisoners. Thank you again!
