I’m so glad we chose Daintree boatman for our river tour. Murray is great with his local knowledge and spotting crocodiles in the water and land. Even though April is a difficult time of the year, as crocodiles aren’t as active above the water. Also extremely new boat, comfortable seats, convertible canopy, smooth experience. Locally owned and operated. We would recommend highly and would return again! Tips: bring your questions! Murray is a fabulous guide. We had an incredible experience on Murray’s 2 hour dusk cruise. We had an incredible experience on Murray’s 2 hour dusk cruise. He was incredibly knowledgable about all the flora and fauna, the area and more. Managed to find a 4 meter male crocodile called “Lumpy” despite the challenging conditions, and a 2 meter female resting on the bank on the way back too. An unforgettable experience that I couldn’t recommend more! It was great for wildlife photographers too as he always helped you get the best angle — 10/10!Excellent River Cruise. Spotted plenty of wildlife including close ups of bird, snakkes and crocodiles. All with an excellent commentary from Murray who has a wealth of knowledge about the Daintree and it's rich history. The suset created a wonderful backdrop to a very relaxing afternoon.

I agreed to this tour not expecting much. We picked a sunset cruise on a hybrid boat with minimal noise pollution. What we experienced was akin to an out of body experience to a heavenly place. I could go on talking about the indescribable beauty of the river, the exotic mangroves, the elegant bird life or even our fortunate encounter with lumpy the alpha croc 🐊 on a night out on the prowl. Murray the tour guide clearly displayed intricate knowledge of the whole ecosystem marrying passion & science to narrate a wonderful story. The crown jewel was the rain over the river as we were cruising back.
