I liked the family where we had lunch and the best part of this tour is that it supports local small bussines (they really deserve it).

We smoothly passed the border between Georgia and Armenia with a professional driver and a brainy tour guide with broad knowledge and a great sense of humour. By the way, the Armenian food was delicious. Try it with wine or cognac. 10/10!

I feel super lucky that Miska was our guide on this tour!! She is Armenian so was able to bring deep insight and a personal touch to our tour! She is gregarious, energetic and incredibly friendly and likeable! Loved spending the day in her company, she is all smiles! The tour itself was great, and was a fantastic introduction to Armenia - it was a great way of getting a taste of a new country and culture. Miska kept us entertained with stories about Armenians, Armenian culture and their (at times) sad history. The homemade lunch was absolutely divine and I think one of the best meals I’ve had on the entire trip. Everything was home grown and home made, and tasted fresh and delicious! I also very much enjoyed the copper factory and the churches. Miska pointed out a tonne of things that i would totally have missed, had it not been for her (eg the difference between orthodox and Armenian depictions of Jesus and the Virgin Mary in the churches, red vs black curtains). She also knew the best spots for the photos! ;) This was my third of 3 tours with Garmajoba. There is little repetition in the tours, each one I’ve had was very distinct which was great. I was impressed with the deep knowledge of all Garmajoba guides and I found all tours were thoroughly interesting. All tours had a really nice balance of old and newer historical facts and I will certainly remember a lot of what I’ve learnt on these tours! All guides always had answers to all our questions, which varied from historical, political, cultural, religious, etc - impressive! Highly recommend!A very interesting trip where you can see wonderful natura and three beautiful old churches, two of them being world heritage site. We enjoyed a nice lunch în an Armenian house. LIKA was wonderful as your guide and very helpful with a lot of information.
