It was a very nice experience and left me with a positive feeling about the progress of the village life in India. Our tour guy was very kind and humble. He definitely wants to show us Delwara in the most authentic manner, with both reality and hopes. The Delwara walk was one of the most meaningful experiences I've had during my trip through India. I was travelling solo, spending a few days in Udaipur and had the chance to do this tour with Himmat. He was very friendly and interested. He explained everything about the community and the projects they do to improve the conditions of the village. If you want to experience a bit of the real India, I highly recommend. I could even buy some beautiful fabrics made by local girls through ethical labor standards. I also had the best poha of my entire trip there! :)We did this tour with Kundan while staying at Devigarh and it was really fantastic! We did this tour with Kundan while staying at Devigarh and it was really fantastic! The town is full of sights that we never would have found on our own. Stunning Jain temples, charming old havelis, and lots of other interesting things to see. We even got to go into some lovely courtyards and meet some of the locals. At the end we bought some clothes at a shop where local women made everything. I highly recommend this tour, it’s a great way to get to experience a side of india you don’t normally see.We had a fantastic tour just for the two of us and at short notice, which was tailored to our interests and we felt very welcome in the village. Himmat was very knowledgable, interested to exchange ideas and knowledge and a pleasure to walk with. Thank you very much!
We had a fantastic tour just for the two of us and at short notice, which was tailored to our interests and we felt very welcome in the village. Himmat was very knowledgable, interested to exchange ideas and knowledge and a pleasure to walk with. Thank you very much!I went on a walk with my friendly guide Himmat Das, and learned much about village life, including religion, caste roles, and how conditions have improved greatly. If you want to get close to village life in India, this is an excellent opportunity. Part of my visit to Udaipur.
