Even though we got off to a bit of a late start, we rode up to the Mirador west of Cuenca in their vehicle with the bikes, which only took about an hour. Starting at an elevation of around 14,600 ft, we descended on the main road for several miles before turning off to a side road, and eventually a gravel road. Riding through the cloud forest was a truly unforgettable experience. We ended the ride about 4 to 5 hours later at an elevation of 2,100 ft. Adrian and Jose were great, and even fixed a flat I had. Can't say enough good about the experience. One note though if you are considering doing this, I would only recommend it for somewhat experienced cyclists.I had a really nice time dropping over 10,000 feet into the coastal cloud forest with Adrian and his crew. I had a really nice time dropping over 10,000 feet into the coastal cloud forest with Adrian and his crew. I was the solo member of the tour and felt a little spoiled by the care provided to me. It was a great mix of adrenaline, nature, and culture in some off the main road areas. If you like downhill biking, or mountain biking, this would work for you, but if you are an intermediate casual biker, this would also work for you too. I think Adrian is very accomodating. He let me go ahead and rip it up a bit, but he was very willing to go slower if needed.Una ruta que te permite gozar de los diferentes pisos climáticos, observar la belleza y el contraste de los paisajes; desde el frío páramo hasta el calor y humedad de la costa.
