What to expect
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be able to breathe underwater? If you would like to try scuba diving but are not yet ready for a full course that ends with a "Brevet" (i.e. a diver's license), Discover Scuba Diving (often referred to as "taster diving") is for you. Big Blue Diving Mallorca also offers this program from the beach. Discover Scuba Diving is not a "Brevet" diving course, but a quick and easy introduction to the underwater world, where you dive with a scuba diving equipment. To enroll in this Discover Scuba Diving program, you must be at least 10 years old. You do not need to have any previous diving experience, but you must be in good health.
Also swimming skills are an advantage !
The program starts every day at 10.30 am and at 3 pm.
About 1 hour of the program is theory and preparation, the other hour is spent in the water. First we train some techniques in shallow water. At the end we will have a dive along the coast.

I visited Big Blue Diving with my cousin. She would do her introduction dive while I did a refresher after many years of inactivity. Whilst this was a unusual combination, the staff worked with us and found a way so we could dive together. I think they made the best of the situation, dealing with the pandemic. All in all the limitations were experienced as nothing more than a slight inconvenience. What really shined through is the staff. They were ever positive and supportive. Their training went above and beyond the expectations, not only talking about the items included in the course but also giving tips and sharing best practices to further improve the dive as a whole. If I ever go diving again in Mallorca, this is the team that I will call upon.Excellent staff and instructors, nice boat and venues. Group boat trip with young children all very good and recommended
