Had an amazing time with Leo on our Early Bird Tour through the main sights of Kyoto. Did a thorough research before booking this, and though the price seemed abit steep at first, my wife and I enjoyed every bit of it. There's nothing quite like it. The best part was that our guide, Leo, felt truly like a friend. And he was so knowledgeable about everything, but never at any point did we feel overwhelmed with information. He kept it casual like how a friend would. He also brought us point to point either in taxis or by train, and we didn't have to worry about any navigation or payment. All we had to do was enjoy the journey. We arrived at most of the sites way before the crowds, but by the end at each site you could see the stream entering. So we were grateful. Even at the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, which is the last stop, the crowds were gathering but you'll most likely still be able to experience it well. All in all, the tour is worth every cent. Especially if you're on a tight schedule but want to see the main sights properly and understand the beauty that is Kyoto.Philippe was an incredible guide taking us through parts of Kyoto that we would not have gone on our own. Philippe was an incredible guide taking us through parts of Kyoto that we would not have gone on our own. We loved the tour and highly recommend it—we sent his info to friends visiting in a few weeks. He is so knowledgeable and such a great teacher. We felt like we were riding bikes around Kyoto with our friend! Very manageable bike ride and felt safe navigating through the winding and sometimes narrow pathways of Kyoto—our favorite parts (the areas we definitely wouldn’t have found on our own)! Beautiful way to explore Kyoto more like a local. And we learned he is vegetarian also so we visited a delicious spot together for lunch! My family booked a bike tour with Eric on April 2 to see Kyoto and the sakura around town. My family booked a bike tour with Eric on April 2 to see Kyoto and the sakura around town. We had a wonderful day with Eric biking around town. He was kind and knowledgeable of the history of the city. It was a busy day, but he was flexible and patient since we had two sons that are 8 and 6. I would highly recommend this tour and would book again because there is so much to see and explore in Kyoto! So much fun! This was one of our favorite tours in Kyoto, we biked for about 3 hours all over the outskirts of Kyoto and saw a lot of unique sites and shops off the beaten path. Would definitely do it again next time we go to Japan!
