This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Khe Sanh Combat Base, Huong Hoa District, Khe Sanh Vietnam
The Seige started on January 21, 1968, when the north Vietnamese shelled the base with more than one thousand mortar rounds, rockets, ang heavy artillery.
Duration: 45 minutes
Stop At: Vinh Moc Tunnel, Vinh Th_ch, Dong Ha 520000 Vietnam
The tunnels were built in three levels (12, 15 and 23 meters deep) and took thirteen months to complete. Three hundred people lived intermittently in the tunnels during 1966 to 1971. Sixty-two families made the tunnels their home and amazingly seventeen babies were born here and spent the first years of their lives underground.
Visiting other places on the highway 1 and 9 to Vinh Moc and Khe Sanh:
Long Hung Church: This church in Quang Tri, Vietnam fell victim to 8 continuous days of bombings by South Vietnamese and American troops during the Vietnam War. The church has remained untouched and basically remains as it was immediately after the bombings occurred.which was a battlefield in 1972 between North and South Vietnam for 81 days and nights.
Doc Mieu Base: There's basically nothing left of this old American base save a rusting tank and a sign. Apparently this once formed the backbone of the "eagle eyes of america" electronic monitoring fence.
Ben Hai River – Hien Luong Bridge of DMZ: Vietnam's Demilitarized Zone, or DMZ, is the area around the former border between North and South Vietnam.
Cua Tung Beach: The beach has sparkling green water, silky sand, and it is touched by soft breezes throughout the year. Having a rest and take some beautiful photos from here.
Rockpile: The Hill was a Marine outpost built on top of a huge outcropping. Though it’s inaccessible, it’s a prominent sight from the highway.
Dakrong Bridge & Ho Chi Minh Road: It is midway along Highway 9, and is the starting point of Highway 15, one of the main branches of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, which leads south to the A Shau valley.
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: Hien Luong, Hien Luong, Phu Tho Province
DMZ Vietnam is the area around the former border between North and South Vietnam. Historically it was a narrow band of terrain extending from Laos to the coast, five km on either side of the Ben Hai River, roughly on the 17th parallel..

What a fantastic experience with Stop and Go tours. From the very beginning communication over what’s app was very helpful and efficient. We had our whole trip arranged about 20 minutes after we first got in contact. We were picked up from our hotel by our driver Mr Chung and guide Ms Tike. Both were excellent all day with very good English. Mr Chung drove very safely and was very helpful. Ms Tike was so knowledgeable and took us everywhere we wanted to go including Vinh Moc tunnels, the DMZ bridge, then on to Khe San. The whole day was brilliant. Mr Chung then drove us on to Hue where we finished the first day. We really could not recommend more and used the same company again for the tour of the tombs near Hue on the next day. Great prices, excellent service, a very comfortable car, safe driver and knowledgeable guide. Definitely 5 stars! We did the DMZ tour with Mr Tom driving and Mr Tam as our guide. We did the DMZ tour with Mr Tom driving and Mr Tam as our guide. We went to Khe Sanh and the Vinh Moc tunnels. These 2 sites are at opposite sides of Vietnam and on opposite sides of the old border. There is a lot of driving and it's a long day. The tour goes from Hue, through Quang Tri to Khe Sanh and then back to Quang Tri for lunch before heading off again to the tunnels. There are a few other things to see along the way. Most of the old wartime infrastructure has now gone, but there are still some artefacts at Khe Sanh. The tunnels at Vinh Moc are amazing but have no real military significance: they were just a means of survival for a village that was heavily bombed for a prolonged period. What really made the trip worthwhile for us was having a good steady safe driver like Mr Tom and an exceptional guide in Mr Tam. Mr Tam lived through the war as a young boy growing up but because he was injured by artillery fire, was exempt military service. He knew a lot about the war and the politics of it all. A very interesting man. You will get the most out of this tour if you know about the war (and maybe remember it from all those years of news coverage). Thank you Mr Tam and Mr Tom for a great day out.We did, quite impulsive booked on site, a private tour to DMZ with Mr. Vinh, a veteran from the south side of the conflict. We did, quite impulsive booked on site, a private tour to DMZ with Mr. Vinh, a veteran from the south side of the conflict. The tour last 6 hours, and was very informative and interesting. Mr. Vinh is an excellent guide, who in good english shares his vast memories and convey detailed information of the war and Vietnamese history in general. Our knowledge about the history were initially very limited, and we feel a lot wiser after the plesent tour. The tour were not packed with action, but relaxed with time to reflection, which is needed. The driver should also have credit for western traffic style. People who have experienced Vietnamses traffic will understand. I will not hesitate to give my rare high recomendation to Mr. Vinh and 'Stop and Go'.My friend and I recently took the DMZ tour, including the Khe Sanh Firebase, with driver Mr. Hoa and Guide Mrs Thach. My friend and I recently took the DMZ tour, including the Khe Sanh Firebase, with driver Mr. Hoa and Guide Mrs Thach. Mrs Thach's knowledge of the sites visited and their Vietnam War background was first class and totally enhanced our visit. Mr Hoa was equally superb, a safe driver who was unfailingly helpful and friendly. Their level of English was also excellent. This is the second tour I have taken with Stop-Go and would thoroughly recommend them.Mr Trung was a great driver, and Mr Tam very helpful and interesting. Would recommend to anyone interested in learning more about Vietnam.
