We took the 'Private Doha City Tour and Desert Safari Combo' to spend a day in Qatar. We were picked up at our hotel and taken to the desert south of Doha. First, we got to ride a camel. That was a very short trip but enough in the heat of the day. We then went for some dune bashing. It was a thrilling experience, noticing that the driver knew exactly what he was doing. We then went to the Inland Sea where we could see the boarder to Saudi across the water. Arriving back in Doha we were taken to the Museum of Islamic Art, spending an hour admiring the riches of the museum. We had a quick lunch at the cafe before reuniting with the guide Khalid who then took us on a tour of Doha. The tour ended at the Souk where we went first to the horse stables and then to a falcon shop. Finally, we took a walk through the souk. We appreciated being guided by Khalid we were not harassed by all the sales people as you would be on your own. A very nice day and well worth recommending!!My tour guide khalid was extremely knowledgeable of Doha and Qatari history down to the fine detail. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour! My guide was Ismail. Rode a camel and then went dune bashing - what an experience that was, so much fun!! Loved the national museum. Leave plenty of time for souq waqif as there's lots to explore in there and especially if you're looking to buy things. I only requested 30mins at that stop as I wasn't shopping and that wasn't enough time to have a good look around. Ismail was happy to switch activities around so I did the museum last and requested to be dropped off at a shopping centre instead of hotel.
