This was a brilliant experience! We saw Dolphins in the Indian ocean, red colobus monkeys in Jozani forest and swam in a cave! We didn't eat at the Rock Restaurant as didn't have a reservation and it was really busy but Juma our guide suggested an alternative which was on the beach so had amazing views and fabulous food so recommend Upendo for lunch. It's a very busy day and there is swimming / walking so get lots of rest the day before! It was my husbands birthday so it was truly memorable! Most of the tour and our tour guide were great. Most of the tour and our tour guide were great. The tour guide was very friendly, happy and helpful. The first stop brought us to see the dolphins. Unfortunately this was not the calm, animal-friendly nature experience we expected. It actually was a hunt of them with way too many boats going after them as soon as they came up (at least 20 boats!). This was not what we wanted and should not be allowed. It puts way to much stress to the dolphins. So if you think about doing a dolphin tour, please don't. Our second stop was snorkeling at mnemba Island which was great! Very clear water and nice little fish to see. We even got some watermelon and ananas for lunch and also water. Then we drove to Jozani forest to see the monkeys and mangroves. Very interesting! The Kuza cave was nice to see, very clear water. Next stop was The Rock, a beautiful restaurant in the ocean. But if you want to dine, make sure to have a reservation, as it is very popular. The last stop was at Paje Beach, where we had a nice walk to watch the many watersport activities. All in all a great tour and guide, but please, don't book the dolphin part, as it is not animal friendly at all. Thank you.Because everything was perfect and everyone enjoyed it alot ,in Zanzibar we have only beautiful and nice jozani forest for the various species among of them red colour basmonkey and e.t.c

I am very disappointed with the tour, it was VERY EXPENSIVE and we were not offered a good quality day tour in return. First I have to say that the driver did not turn the air conditioning on! Imagine being on a tour for 12 hours and not having air conditioning?! The "guide" was a guy who knows less about Tanzania than I do (if that's possible), who did not offer any facts not explanations about the five stops we had. We learned NOTHING! He literally just walked in front of us the whole time and didn't say anything! And that is called a „guide“ in this tour! The only thing he did do is ask to take a picture with us, and wanted us to send him the pictures to his smartphone! In Jozani forest, he literally left us alone in the middle of the forest (which does not have any signposts nor a path where you can find the way out of that labyrinth on your own). He just ran "to look for monkeys" and he didn't care that we were in Jozani forest for the first time, what we wanted to see and what we wanted to take pictures of. "Swimming with dolphins" is a complete LIE, there are 40 boats that chase (mistreat) the poor animals in their natural habitat. They make you jump into the ocean and swim/snorkel to look for dolphins, which is impossible, dolphins are too fast and the water is muddy so you can't see anything. This excursion should be banned urgently by PETA and the animals should be protected! I even got hurt when jumping off the boat when we were supposed to swim with dolphins. I cut my leg on that horrific boat. The guide just said "he was sorry" and continued with the excursion. They don't let you use the ladder so you can enter the ocean like a normal person. On the boat and in The Rock, they expect to be tipped, the guide and driver also want a tip, and you have already have paid $130 per person, plus a very expensive lunch in Rock restaurant (minimum 90$ for two persons). Another terrible thing is that you have nowhere to change you swimsuits and your clothes, the only option is the car, which is awful. The tour lasts 12 hours, and most of that time you are in the car driving from one place to another, literally not worth the time nor the money! The operator Mango tours sent an email to ask us to be ready at 7.30 they appeared at 8 and tried to put two private tour bookings into the one car. 2 expensive bookings.
