On our Downtown/Old Town Stroll, you’ll see many of the city’s most important attractions (some of which are listed below) and you'll also get off the beaten path to discover hidden sites like the theatre where Dan Aykroyd and John Candy got their start, and the historic hall that hosted a number of anti-slavery conferences in the 1850s that drew abolitionists like Frederick Douglass.

See the concert hall that was the site of one of the most infamous Soviet defections during the Cold War. In 1974, the USSR's top male ballet dancer, Mikhail Baryshnikov, pulled off a daring escape to Canada the night of his performance in this hall.
