What to expect
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Pass By: Skofja Loka, Skofja Loka, Upper Carniola Region
10:00 am– Pick-up location: We will pick you up at the train station in Skofja Loka and take you to our starting point of the tour.
11.00 am – Route start: The first part will consist of an easy ride down the old military road through lovely villages all the way up to the highest point of the tour, the hut under Blegoš.
Stop At: Mount Blegos, Skofja Loka Slovenia
1.00 pm - Here we take a longer rest, to take in all the beautiful mountain views and fresh air. If there is will and energy, we can walk to the top of Mount Blegos (cca 20min hike) and enjoy the marvellous view of the hills of Skofja Loka, the Julian and the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, and the Karavanks. If the weather is kind enough, we might even catch a glimpse of the Adriatic Sea.

Stop At: Javorje, Javorje, Styria Region
03:00 pm - We will head back to our starting point through a lovely village called Javorje. But along the way, if there is enough interest, we stop at a local farm called "Pr Andrejon", where they serve locally produced food. They are a 3/4 self-sufficient farm, so their cuisine is truly amazing.

We conclude our tour between 4:00 and 5:00 pm at our starting point. From there we drive you back to the train station.

Like most tour activities, the guide either makes or breaks the experience. Ursa made our trip exceptional - from logistics to explaining the local culture to making the time letting a rain shower pass a great experience in and of itself. Can’t recommend Ursa or Greenhills enough.

One of the best organised cycling trips I have done in any country. Our guide picked us up on time at our hotel to take us to Skofja Loca. The bycycles were new and in excellent condition. The scenery is lovely and the cycling route is fantastic! We enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the trees and valleys will going up the mountain for a very special viewpoint were we had the opportunity to take greats pictures. Our guide came prepared with all the necessary equipment and water. We stopped at a lovely cheese factory and samples the local cheese. Our guide was experienced and gave us a lot of information along the way. If you enjoy cycling in a beautiful location, this is highly recommended. The bike tour was definitely the highlight of my trip to Slovenia. It was brilliant, a lot of fun! The scenery was spectacular, the ride exhilarating and our guide, Nejc, was quite exceptional. We are two ladies in our 50s, with moderate fitness. Nejc was just amazing as he took so much trouble to ensure that we had the best day possible, with a suitable route for us, and was really careful with safety and comfort. He is highly knowledgeable and skilled on all aspects of biking and fitness, the countryside and Slovenia (especially as he is local) - he was fascinating to chat to. Nejc was very encouraging and he got the best out of us as some parts of the ride were challenging but very rewarding. He can tailor make the itinerary to suit levels of fitness and interests. We loved all the views, the autumn colours and mountain scenery. The electric bikes felt very safe. We absolutely loved the downhill sections. The lunch stop at the top was wonderful – we enjoyed the simple meal. It was great that Nejc took pictures of us while cycling and sent them to us later. It was very easy to book the tour, even though we booked last minute. I would love to do the trip again, or do some of the other bike trips to that area. We had a great time with Jernej biking in Slovenia. He was prompt in biking us up at our hotel and then took us on a wonderful electric bike ride up a military road. The bikes were excellent quality. To top that off we stopped at a tourist farm and had some homemade soup an bread (lunch for 3 was only 8 Euro!). Then we had a tour of a cheese farm and a blacksmith shop, including throwing axes. A great trip and good quality for our money. We would recommend this for anyone wanting to get out of the city and experience the Slovenian countryside. Jernej is a great guide.I received friendly communication in advance of my trip and was looked after 100 % from beginning to end. I loved the ride through the forests - seeing lots of nature on the way. It was well worth the climb to the top of the hill from the hut - what an amazing view !
