Guide was awesome! We learned a lot about the Cape Fear and stuff we didnt know about the USS NorthCarolina. Humorous and informative. It wasn’t much of a cruise. Very little history of Wilmington. It focused on current shipping history and current shipping and not terrificly interesting and on the way back, there was no program at all.

The Captain and his crew were some of the nicest and most conscientious tour staff that I have come across and went out of their way to make it a memorable trip for all. The boat was very clean and even though it was raining it was an enjoyable cruise.

The day of our tour was pretty cold, but the boat is enclosed so it was OK if not as comfortable as it would have been on a warmer day. The captain had a good amount of information to share and it was entertaining to listen while watching for the sights on shore. There is a bar onboard, but a small alcoholic beverage being $12 I passed on that. A child nearby was making himself the center of attention which made the trip a little less pleasant than it could have been. If a child can't enjoy it and parents don't choose to exert supervision then maybe home is the best place for him or her. There are a few good photo ops-tugboats and ships. Keep in mind that nearby parking may not be free. The lot we pulled into almost directly across the street was $9.00/hour.What a great way to enjoy the river. A delightful, informative narrative about Wilmington. Highly recommend this to see Wilmington from the water.
