What to expect
Get an early morning start with pickup from your accommodation in Memphis and relax during the 1.5-hour drive across the Tennessee border into Mississippi. On arrival in Tupelo, hop off the coach to see the modest two-room house built by Elvis' father, where The King was born and raised.
Your two-hour guided tour features major points of interest that Elvis frequented, such as his elementary school, the Assembly of God church where he was exposed to Gospel music, and the soda fountain where he shared drinks with his friends. Hear tales from his childhood and the beginning of his career, such as the time his mother persuaded him to purchase a guitar instead of a rifle at Tupelo Hardware.
At Elvis Presley Birthplace Park, you'll view a statue of Elvis at 13 years old. See the museum, chapel, a 'Memphis-bound' car, and exhibits including the Walk of Life, Fountain of Life, and Story Wall. Admire the views from Elvis Presley Lake before return transport to Memphis.

Wonderful Service, Picked up at hotel & again from destination. Took on personal tour of Tupelo, took to sights off beaten path, toured downtown Memphis. Very accommadating to anywhere we wanted to go with hotel pickup and delivery home. Very informative about everything Elvis and Graceland, where to go, things to do both at Graceland and Memphis. We were there for Memphis in May with thousands of people, always had a ride home, a fantastic adventure. Also shuttled us to and from Airport, and prices are very reasonable. Would recommend Darnell who is Reliable Transportation to everyone going to Memphis.Elvis never forgot his birthplace, hometown and childhood friends and they never forgot them. I couldn’t speak when I saw for myself the very humble start that my hero had. If you make the trip to Graceland, then you must start at Tupelo. Not to be missed. Just a tiny criticism. Elvis never forgot his birthplace, hometown and childhood friends and they never forgot them. I couldn’t speak when I saw for myself the very humble start that my hero had. If you make the trip to Graceland, then you must start at Tupelo. Not to be missed. Just a tiny criticism. The shop needs to be less tacky and sell products that are of excellent quality rather than about selling Elvis’s image. He deserves better!Great day, enjoyed every minute. Very informative. Tupelo was welcoming and a very pretty town. Highly recommend this trip

Our guide, Darnell, was also the owner of Reliable Transportation and he was excellent. He was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. We had a private tour and saw everything that was advertised without being rushed. The ad says the tour is 8 hours, but in fact it's more like 6, with nearly 4 hours of that on the road. All the attractions in Tupelo are clustered close together. This tour could be improved by adding a scheduled meal stop at decent restaurant. The choices of Arbys or a gas station for snacks doesn't quite cut it.
