Ephesus Tour From Izmir
Overview
We will pick you up at the indicated hotel at 8:30 am and travel in a comfortable minibus to Ephesus, an ancient city located on the Ionia coast.
After a trip of an hour and a half, we will reach the site of Ephesus, one of the great tourist attractions in Turkey, since it is one of the best preserved Greco-Roman cities in the country. Once there, we will take a guided tour of Ephesus to see some of its monumental jewels, such as the Library of Celsus, one of the most luxurious bibliographic archives of the Roman Empire in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Nearby we will find the Roman Theater. Did you know that it had a capacity for 24, 000 people? It is impressive!
After the visit of Ephesus, we take a lunch.
On the other hand, you will also have traditional shopping opportunities for jewelry, leather, or ceramic centers.

Pros- 1. On Time Pick Up 2. Erhan the guide, pretty knowledgeable in Anatolian History, and was passionate about explaining the History, as a history enthusiast, this was a huge plus. 3. Lunch was good 4. Compact tour of Ephesus, had enough time for explanations and photos, so catering to both kinds of Crowd. Didn’t feel bogged down as well. Cons: 1. The Ceramic Pottery Stop, I liked the work they do and and definitely support the initiative to endorse local trade. But they are overpriced, even if hand made, and feels like a Trap. (Not saying they are, but the inflated prices are ridiculous) 2. A better way to manage time for people who don’t visit the Virgin Mary House. It’s 40 Mins sitting at a restaurant.Erman is very helpful and knowledgeable, i really enjoy the trip , spent wonderful time and do recommend this tour
