I can't recommend Aman more here. He gives you peace of mind plus taking care of my group the best he could. We went to Lalibela, Danakil Depression, and Omo Valley with his guides: Yihun and the drivers took care of us all the way to Danakil. They gave us the best accommodation, food, and attention to detail. Ferd is a very driver driving us to the Omo Valley along with local tours to the villages of Mursi, Karo, Dansach and others to Awasa and Arba Minch. The whole tour was amazing, the tour guides were professional and caring, and the drivers were all good. Even the chef with us for volcano who cooked amazingly! We had a great time! Three of us joined Aman tour for Afar Depression tour with meal included. Together with another 2 tourists from different countries, 5 people as a group arriving a local restaurant in slum area in Semera, we were offered a big plate of rice, lots of injera and 3 little bowls of sauce, we all knew the resources may be insufficient, we all knew it and we were happy for what we got. Two days later, we visited the same restaurant on our way back, we were offered a big plate of rice, lots of injera and 1 little bowl of sauce. While we were about to finish, something caught our attention, a lady got a big pile of hot juicy meat with injera serving three local people behind us. ‘Oh they got meat in here!’ that’s what came up my mind, none of us expected we would see meat in slum area. i thought it was a bit ridiculous for 5 of us sharing a little bowl of sauce with rice and injera while we were paying generous amount of money for the tour. During the Afar Depression tour, two of us got the unknown poxes on arms and all over our body, in total 30+ poxes. Maybe due to the hygienic problem in northern part, those poxes were increasing in number, we were pretty worried. Once we got back to ADDIS ABABA, Aman picked us up, we mentioned about the poxes right away and wanted to consult a doctor in hospital. That night was the only chance we could seek for help (consultation) as next day we would leave the city having tight schedule for next destination, but Aman looked into our poxes saying ‘it’s a small problem’ and only offered driving us to the nearest pharmacy to get some cream instead. In which made us upset as we still have 8 days to go driving long to rural areas visit the tribes. Apart from that, Aman tour is very good. From all the tour operators that I traveled; Aman Ethiopia Tours was the best! From all the tour operators that I traveled; Aman Ethiopia Tours was the best! The trip was a real tour de force, with more than 6000 km traveled in 15 days, from north Danakil to Omo Valley in south. And everything was just perfect during this time – some of the best hotels, good places to eat, frequent breaks for relaxation and clean windshield for us to take pictures during this road trip that included most of the highlights that the country has to offer. Also, their partner guides, like the ones that we had at Lalibela churches or Gondar castle, were surpassingly passionate about the places that they were representing, knowledgeable and having answers to all our questions. The drivers (Niko and Neway) not only that they were professional ones (driving is a serios deal in Ethiopia) but they were kind, friendly and funny, and they brought a great vibe to the whole trip. They gave me the feeling that we are all a group of friends traveling together, not that they are at their job transporting customers. Besides that, they were always there if we had any kind of problems (like the time when my sandals broke and Niko searched on his own for a shoe repair point). Also, I loved the fact that they were respectful and polite with the locals and with the ethnic groups. And that they took a lot of pictures for us :) For sure the tour operator that you chose has a great contribution to the success of your trip, and these guys had their share in the fact that I loved so much this country. Thank you! For sure I will choose them again and I will recommend them to anyone who wants to visit Ethiopia. It’s that kind of operator that will go an extra mile for its customers. We had the best Guide and Driver on any trip we ever had. We highly recamend the Aman tour group. For the first time was in Ethiopia (and in Africa, to be honest). We were in a small group (4 people only) and Aman Ethiopia Tours & Travel designed for us the whole trip. Our special request was to stay in Hamar tribe in Omo valley for 9 days - to have a real ethnographic experience. We got it top notch! Everything was organized on the same or even higher level higher than in European tour agencies (and I traveled a lot). Our guide - Shashi (Terry) was incredible, he reacted on all our requests and wishes, he found for us the village to stay. And it was not the place tourists come every day and influence the unique culture of the tribe. Instead, we went to the village where we were only the third tourists they saw. Aman Ethiopia found for us a super nice Hamar family to live with – we talked to the people, did the day tasks they did, they were more than open with us. We lived in a comfortable tent with the Chef of our own, who cooked great food three times a day from fresh and testy products. We had new Land Rover that we used every time we needed to go to the nearby city. We also got perfect translator - Ojta, who was himself from the tribe and was our guide to the customs and traditions, he was with us 24/7 always ready to help. Thanks to all crew of Aman Ethiopia who were with us in this trip we had unique and unforgettable trip. This is priceless and memories will be for all life. After ethnographic part of the trip, we went to the North and saw Lalibela and Danakil depression. This part was also organized on a very good. We had great guide in Lalibela who showed as all the churches. The trip to Afar was the most challenging part of our journey – this area just begins to recover after the war. But we were provided with guard. We slept under the sky on comfy beds, and this is also cool experience. It is always discussed that there are problems in Ethiopia with water and electricity, we faced them also, but when you are there, it is really doesn’t feel the same as at home. This is part of the experience, and it also helps to leave all gadgets behind and just enjoy the country. To summarize traveling with Aman Ethiopia, with Shashi, Noy, Hoyta, was not just trip to Ethiopia but unique opportunity to really feel the country. And to fall in love with it and with people who live there.
