We will walk through the centre of Killarney and hear some stories about some of the town characters as well as the history of the town and families that shaped it. Find out where to go to find the best coffee, Irish stew, locally crafted beer, the best ice cream, the best pubs for traditional music and all the things to do to make your trip to Killarney a very memorable one. Our family group (from USA & UK) thoroughly enjoyed Mary's entertaining and engaging personality. She was most knowledgeable, and although we have visited Killarney many times over the years, our time with Mary was very well spent and we learned a lot of information and facts which we were not aware of before. Unbelievably, the weather stayed dry for the duration of our tour, although Mary kindly distributed umbrellas to each of us - just in case! Thank you, Mary!Although it rained during our tour it proved to be time well spent. Where ever we go we always take a walking tour and this was the best yet. Mary our guide was very knowledgeable about killarney and also was very friendly. She took you back in Killarney history while at the time relating facts about the present day city. I had the pleasure of taking a guided tour with Mary during August 2018. It was a wet day and and i honestly believed that it would cancelled as I was the only person waiting for Mary. However, umbrella's in hand we set out and thankfully the rain stayed away. Mary is a local of Killarney and has all the local knowledge locked away in her head just waiting to be shared with everyone. Mary told her own stories from over the years and having grown up in the town she has 100's of stories to tell. I'm a big fan of walking tours and this was the best I've been on.As I was the only one on the walking tour of Killarney with Mary, I thoroughly enjoyed the personalised attention that I received. As I was the only one on the walking tour of Killarney with Mary, I thoroughly enjoyed the personalised attention that I received. We walked at a steady pace through the town to Killarney House and beyond. Killarney House is a 'must see' if going to Killarney. Mary recommended visiting the museum - which I duly did in my own time later in the day. Killarney, and my walking tour with Mary, was a highlight of my time in Ireland.I enjoyed the guided tour with Mary G. She is excellent and knows her history of Killarney very well. She listens to questions and can rephrase herself when we did not understand. Her French speaking is very good too. I learned a lot from this tour. It decided me to go deeper in killarney history...

Mary's walking tour was fabulous and a great way to familiarise yourself with the town of Killarney. Mary, having been born and bred in Killarney, was full of interesting information and facts. It was obvious she loves her town and was proud of it. A tip... wear good walking shoes as the tour was advertised for 90 minutes but went for over 2 hours! Not a problem though, Mary just walked at our pace and there was plenty of 'rest' times. I highly recommend this walking tour to anyone. Great value for money.
