My family and I had the best day of our Moroccan trip with Abdul showing us his hometown, Fes. This is a tour if you truly want to know the “inside” of the city and not just see it like a tourist. He catered to our needs and wants. He took us to the historical places but also to his friend’s tiny bakery and to the best family restaurant! He help me to find the specific items I was looking to purchase and even helped me to bargain! Fes is true gem and so is Abdul - don’t miss the tour with this guy!! 👍🏻😊Abdul really did go out of his way to let us experience his beautiful city of Fes. Abdul really did go out of his way to let us experience his beautiful city of Fes. He is A very elegant and educated man and he told us so much about Marrocan history, the history of Fes, the people, life in Fes. During the tour we were also treated to his amazing street food tour - we had many delicious delicacies. His English is perfect. Thanks to Abdul we also got a chance to see Fes behind the facades. The colours, smells and very friendly people really did inspire us. We will be back soon! Abdul also organised our drive to Marrakech with a beautiful bus and very good and safe drivers. One of the best tours I have ever done! This tour is absolutely a must do while in Fes. Abdul was such an amazing guide, it's hard to even capture all of the highlights of our time with him. As it was a Friday, and the medina closes early (which we wouldn't have known), we started the tour at the Medina and got an in-depth look at the mosques & history of the medina. We also were able to appreciate the beauty & craftsmanship at each tour stop, as opposed to being rushed from stop to stop. All along the way, not only was Abdul an amazing tour guide, but he constantly offered to take pictures for my wife and I to have memories of our trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. Abdul‘s knowledge & passion for Fes really showed throughout the tour. He answered all of our questions and told us great stories of the city, it’s leaders and history, as well as the culture of its people. Our tour on Friday went longer than expected, so Abdul offered to pick us back up on Saturday morning to show us the remainder of the tour! On Saturday we saw the old Jewish community, the beautiful palace doors and visited sights for amazing pictures of Fes. If you’re looking to see as much of Fes as possible in a day, this tour is a must! Thanks Abdul! We did this on our first day in Fes to get to know the city better and be more comfortable exploring later. We had an absolutely lovely day! We were picked up promptly from our hotel (our guide Abdul was actually waiting for us in the lobby!) at 9:30AM. First we saw the sights outside the medina since most vendors don’t open until 10 or so... this included the palace gates, the Jewish quarters, views over the medina, a pottery cooperative, and the Andalusian side of the medina away from the shops. Once we entered the shopping area of the medina, we visited several shops to learn how the crafts are actually made. There were also optional additional tours of some of the museums that we really enjoyed. We had a delicious traditional lunch and got to taste the menu before ordering. We only speak English and some Spanish, so it was nice to have a local to help us navigate. He was also kind enough to take some photos of us, so it’s not just an album of selfies. Some recommendations: - Wear good walking shoes! - Please ask your guide and or shop keepers if it is ok to take photos FIRST. Most say OK and will smile for you. - We also brought a bag for our purchased, which I would recommend, but isn’t required since shoppers will give small plastic ones. Overall a fantastic experience that we highly recommend!
