The performances were amazing!! Would’ve loved to have seen more dancing and maybe a shorter guided tour because there was a wee bit of standing around but still an incredible night. All of the entertainers and people were so lovely and friendly and one of the lads even watched my little boy so I could eat my dinner! Loved it and so did my son, he was dancing with them at the end!The Fijian Cultural Village is highly recommended because it was the highlight of my trip to understand the culture and history of the lovely Fijian people and that is of more interest to me than even the beautiful nature or getting spoiled at a resort. The Fijian Cultural Village is highly recommended because it was the highlight of my trip to understand the culture and history of the lovely Fijian people and that is of more interest to me than even the beautiful nature or getting spoiled at a resort. Some might think it a little basic but that’s exactly what traditional Fijian life pre-colonialism was like but there was still much to learn and see. The dancers and choir were excellent and i got to participate in dancing, a kava ceremony and our guide was more distinguished than we thought but to discovering his secret you have to go!I had an incredible experience at Fiji Cultural Village. I had an incredible experience at Fiji Cultural Village. We started with a morning of exploration where my host took me around the village to demonstrate Fiji’s culture and old practices. Further there was a detailed demonstration of art and crafts of Fiji right from pottery and wood carving to mat weaving and tapa making(traditional dresses of Fiji). I tried my hands on making fire with two stones and well performed quite poorly😅 A sacred Kava ceremony was then performed followed by an entertaining meke show and dance. Well I joined in soon after and together we sang and danced, our voices often drowning in roaring laughter. It was also my birthday and each of them when out of their way to make it special. An experience I am gonna carry with me in my heart for years to come. I was 6500 miles away from my place and yet I felt right at home!❤️This is a must do experience. They encourage you to participate in the kava ceremony & the dancing & the singing. The lunch was tasty, Fijian food, with some western food included for the less adventurous The close proximity to Denarau makes it an added reason to take this tour. I would highly recommend this trip & vinaka vakalevu to the staff. The people were very friendly, very knowledgeable, very welcoming. It was really short. The food was horrible & the food was small quantities, the food was tasteless, no flavor. Definitely didn’t get my monies worth. 2 chicken wings, bananas, papaya for $85 not worth it at all.
