Sophie (and Cliff!) were interesting, engaging guides. We went off the beaten track and learned far more about the region than if we walked the usual paths. We didn't do the Fox Glacier walk but if we had the time would have combined them. Thanks to Glacier Valley Eco Tours 🙏👍😁, Andrew & Leanne, Adelaide SAFabulous day out (we combined the Franz Josef tour with Okarito) with truly local guides who brought the flora and geology to life. Fabulous day out (we combined the Franz Josef tour with Okarito) with truly local guides who brought the flora and geology to life. Great expertise from Cliff and Cath. Might not give you the buzz of the helicopter or air tours but is truly in touch with the ecology and history of this amazing landscape. We even planted a native tree! The door to door pick up was a nice start.... Cliff was an excellent tour guide, taking us on tracks only available to guides. Very knowledgeable. Walk was at a perfect pace.

Sadly the weather wasn't playing ball to see the glacier, the day we went, as much as we tried to wait it out a bit. But, still an informative trip.
