The Freedom Tour of Palenque was amazing and very organized! After the nearly one hour drive, we arrived in Palenque and began our walking tour. Our Tour Guide (Lorenzo) provided so much valuable information about the city's origin and his birthplace. On the tour, we were taught several local phrases and saw the young people perform who engaged the audience as active participants. The Tour Guide continually provided details about the traditions and culture of the people. A delicious lunch was included! I wish I had more cash available. This time was well worth it and I advised many people of this MUST DO tour during their visit to Cartagena!This trip was amazing! Lorenzo our tour guide gave us tons of information and every one in Palenque made us feel at home! Beautiful country filled with rich history and culture! It does get really hot there make sure you always remain hydrated.

The community is so welcoming and happy, with no cares in the world! The tour guide was amazing. I apologize I don’t remember his name😩 but he was great!Great tour. A lot of WALKING. Wear comfortable shoes. There are a lot of dirt roads. The people are very friendly. The food is good. It's an incredible experience. Bring water as you may get hot walking around.
