We had an amazing time learning about sushi and making sushi with the chef! We tried to book last minute and despite being full, the chef accommodated some time for us. Session was fun and entertaining as well as interesting and delicious! The chef was such a gentle and kind person. There is plenty to eat once you finish making all kinds of sushi so I would recommend going on an empty stomach as we couldn’t finish those delicious pieces we had made. Thank you to the chef for an amazing experience and memory!Kosuke-san is an amazing chef and teacher! Myself and my partner were recently lucky enough to experience one of his lessons. Kosuke-san is an amazing chef and teacher! Myself and my partner were recently lucky enough to experience one of his lessons. Firstly, he picked us up from Kawaguchiko train station and walked us to his classroom - which had one of the most amazing views of Mt Fuji out of the window. The sushi trivia was a great way to begin learning about the history of sushi making in Japan. We then moved into learning how to make a number of different types of sushi which he walked us through step by step, all ingredients were of very high quality, and he was easily able to cater the session to ensure gluten free was available to us. This has been a highlight of our trip to Japan, and was one of the best afternoons spent, learning and working with Kosuke who was easily able to translate to English. I would highly recommend for anyone spending time in the area.We had an amazing time here! Our entire family (including 3 boys between 4-9 years old) were welcomed by the chef and his assistant with smiles. They had an informative presentation and demonstration on how to make sushi. Karusan was an amazing teacher. Chef turned teacher, he walked us through every step with care and attention. Gave us a history of sushi to start, then we were taught how to make it step by step. Nigiri, sushi, tempura etc. Soooo much sushi as well you won't regret it. They told us it would be the best thing we did here, and wow were ever right. Plus the views of Mt.Fuji one of the best we've had. And the hospitality was top notch. You will regret not doing this for sure.
