This action-packed, full adrenaline Raft & Rappel combo is sure to be the highlight of your vacation!
Start your adventure with a 20-minute trek in a 4 X 4 to the tropical rainforest on the outskirts of La Fortuna in the shadow of the majestic Arenal Volcano. After gearing up and a short safety and rappelling briefing, you embark on a short hike on a trail through the rainforest. The Pure Trek Canyoning & Waterfall Rappelling tour includes 4 waterfall rappels, one wall rappel, a short rock climb, an uphill rainforest hike, and the Monkey Drop- you will get wet! After a short trek out of the canyon on a magical trail, jump back in the 4x4 vehicle waiting to take you to the next point where you will meet the next transportation to head onwards to the 2nd adventure of the day – white water rafting at Balsa River.
Enjoy two hours of exhilarating white-water rapids including “Magnetic Rock” and “Dredges” along this beautiful, tropical river. Enjoy a delightful swim and reinvigorate yourself with fresh tropical fruits and a cold drink. At the end of the rafting trek you will enjoy a delicious Costa Rican lunch.

The entire day was great. Picked up early and went strait to repelling. The tour guides put at ease as you dropped down 5 cliffs with waterfalls. Then on to the whitewater rafting.....great guides: Diaz and Jairo were fantastic. Very informative and entertaining. Great adventure. Definitely cons...

We booked a full day rappelling and rafting combo with Pacific Trade Winds travel company. The morning was rappelling with Pure Trek canyoning - one of my favorite experiences of the trip. There were a dozen or so rappels, some down waterfalls. Definitely a thrill. They took us back into La Fortuna to switch off to rafting with Wave Expeditions. Rafting was fun - many on our trip said it was the best rafting they had ever done. I thought the rafting was okay, but rapids were a little smaller than I expected. After rafting on the way back to La Fortuna we stopped at a partner establishment to eat the best meal I had in Costa Rica. Since I've been rafting before but not rappelling, I found the rappelling more exciting.Sumi C

Do yourself a favor & book this!!! This was hands-down one of our favorite days during our entire Costa Rica trip. We were picked up at our hotel, and driven to the rappelling location where we were geared up and received clear and brief instructions. The operating company, Pure Trek, was a group of awesome guys who made the whole experience super fun. My boyfriend is an emergency cop and knows rappelling well, and said these guys know exactly what they're doing. They also thankfully don't give you much time to get scared! They're cool and collected and keep it FUN. To say you'll get wet is an understatement....you will be fully submerged in pools of water at the bottoms of the waterfalls, so dress appropriately (athletic shorts and top that dry quickly)! We were then passed off to Wave Expeditions, the company that led the rafting tour. This was SO MUCH FUN! Our guide Diaz was awesome, friendly, knowledgeable, fun, gave clear direction and made us feel safe the whole time -- even when encountering big rapids! This was our first time white water rafting, and we'd definitely do it again. The scenery was beautiful, and we stopped midway to have a fresh snack of delicious pineapples and watermelon. Afterwards, we enjoyed a cold beer sponsored by the guides, and were taken to an organic farm where we had a typical Costa Rican lunch, which was reaalllllly tasty. We then got a short demonstration of how the farm extracts sugar from cane and took a shot of what they call Costa Rican moonshine made from the crop. Seriously best day ever!!ajj990

We’ve been in Costa Rica for two weeks now and we’ve done just about every type of activity possible here—and this has been our favorite thing we’ve done so far! We booked a combo package to do canyoning (with Pure Trek) and rafting. The rafting portion was incredible. Our guide, Gustavo, was so good at keeping us safe, training us, and telling us about the history of the area. The company went above and beyond, giving us snacks, drinks, amazing lunch, and a great cultural experience. It was so much fun and so we’ll orchestrated. I highly recommend it!Blueboard_C

We started with canyoning and it was amazing and so much fun!! The guides were all amazing and I felt safe at every moment! I 100% suggest booking with them. They are organized, picked us up from our Airbnb and included lunch (which was amazing!).they also include amazing pictures of the events! ...

IT WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! Our guide MARIO (super Mario 😂) was amazing. Mario was nice and informative, made us feel safe on the boat and made the experience enjoyable. Mario was very knowledgeable about the animals we saw and just Costa Rica overall we learned a lot from Mario. He was the best, he deserves all the praise I can give! Grateful for wave expedition and everything they offered!!!!
