Kerry was our guide on this tour he was a great guide very informative. Was a great day out in the Daintree, we had several stops first one at Mossman Gorge morning tea was at Cape Tribulation where coffee tea muffins and fruit is served to keep you going. We did a boat trip in cooper creek to spot crocodiles and we did spot two one who was a very active female swimming across the river. Lunch was at heritage lodge and was delicious you have a few choices where Kerry rang the order through so it was ready for our arrival. From here You can swim in a fresh water hole totally recommend it we went in even in the rain it made it even more beautiful. It is rocky I wore sandals in and you can change there are toilets. From here you go to Daintree ice cream which was delicious and you get to taste flavours you normally would not. This is a seperate expense. Then it was off to a nature walk in the forest where we saw a python and some golden orb spiders on the web. If in Port Douglas this is a must do.We did the tour on the 21st of Feb with Ben. Highly recommend it. The rainforest was just amazing. Beautiful, old, significant and lush. Ben was awesome, great guy, very friendly, accommodating and extremely knowledgeable. We did the tour on the 21st of Feb with Ben. Highly recommend it. The rainforest was just amazing. Beautiful, old, significant and lush. Ben was awesome, great guy, very friendly, accommodating and extremely knowledgeable. Overall a very informative tour. Great walks. The food was delicious. We swam at the creek behind the restaurant, just beautiful and refreshing. We also swam at Mossman Gorge, which was challenging with strong currents. We had a massive downpour at the Gorge, which was a memorable experience. Highly recommend the tour with Ben.Definitely a highlight of our family holiday especially the walk through the Daintree. Great day all round. The lamingtons at morning tea superb. lunch exellent . Our tour guide Chris was great, kept us entertained and informed, included everyone and made us feel more like a group of friends spending the day out instead of rushed. The day was timed perfectly and we saw heaps.Chris`s knowledge of the local area , plants and wildlife was fantastic, we didnt see a cassawary - not for lack of trying. The 4wd trip to the waterfall was an experience in itself . The river cruise ran by a different host company was fantastic lots of crocodiles up close as well as a python spotted in the trees . Overall this was a great day .
