This was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! The wild life was spectacular, the Everglades is mysterious and yet breathtaking but it was the tour operators that made this trip so memorable. This company is clearly a family run business that totally cares about offering the best experiences to their guests. We started the day by being picked up in a new spacious van. The tour was at half capacity due to Covid-19 (hope they will be able to survive offering these tours at half capacity). The safety measures for Covid were all quite good. Hand sanitizer was plentiful and use was encouraged regularly. Masks were required in vehicle. Once out in nature they were optional. Our guide for the day was Stacie. She is a marine biologist and was bright and funny and had us all entertained throughout the day. Furthermore, she is one of those rare people you feel like you have known your whole life as she instantly bonds with everyone. We began the wet walk with trepidation but became so immersed in the beauty of it all that we quickly got over any fear (of gators or snakes!). You have to try this experience at least once in your life! The walk was the highlight of the day for me but the two boat rides were OUTSTANDING! We really bonded with our fellow walkers and Stacie through this experience! It is obvious Stacie is friends with the boat guides because they treated us extra special. I don't think if you went on your own you would have such an experience. Lunch was delicious. Snacks and drinks were available whenever needed. We saw close up; gators, 2 snakes, every type of wading bird found in the Everglades, spoonbills, wood storks, dolphins (they played with us by following our boat), manatees, white pelicans by the dozens, and probably my favorite, the endangered sawfish. You will NOT be disappointed by this tour. Thinking back on the day, it is a great value for all that is offered. This is an amazing trip, meticulously planned so it's all seamless. This is an amazing trip, meticulously planned so it's all seamless. Darren was our incredibly knowledgeable guide who was also a fantastic communicator and very thoughtful about making sure everyone in the group was enjoying themselves and could ask him questions. We saw gators, dolphins, osprey, egrets, cormorants, anhingas etc (and I can now tell the difference between a cormorant and an anhinga!). The airboat and boat rides both introduced two very different parts of the ecosystem which was super interesting, but my favourite was the wet walk as it felt like being in another (magical) world. Couldn't recommend this more (oh, and the lunch was delicious - excellent choice!).A wonderful day that had our group probing the nooks and crannies of salt, brine, and freshwater glades. A wonderful day that had our group probing the nooks and crannies of salt, brine, and freshwater glades. We saw a large variety of animal and plantlife that included monstrous alligators, grassy swamps, water birds, mangrove forests, and dolphins that swam by our boat. Our naturalist guides Stacy and Lindsay were a font of information and knowledge. It was a well-paced tour that interspersed wildlife viewing with amusing tidbits on local history and folklore, lunch at a Cuban restaurant, highlighted with stops at the world's smallest post office and Swampape "research center." The day ended with a walk through the swamp to get close-up looks at the ecosystem. I'd never seen the Everglades and this was a great way to immerse yourself in the environment. Well worth the cost. Might be too much for young kids. Better for late teens and adults. They supply bug spray, sunscreen, and water shoes. Bring a pair of leggings or light pants for the swamp walk.Great day, would do it again!!!! Knowledgeable and helpful guides. What an amazing day! We started with the wet walk and what a different experience for us. This is something you could do on your own but we never would have done it because you need to know where the trails are and where to go. I also don't think you would learn as much going without a guide as the amount you learn about the vegetation and why/how the terrain changes is fascinating. After the wet walk is finished you then proceed on to the first boat ride. We zipped through the mangroves of the Everglades learning about the history of the area and seeing a lot of wildlife including some dolphins and sawfish. We were then on our way to lunch at a local restaurant in town and the food was excellent with a nice selection. One of the better lunches you could have on a full day tour. After that we went on to our airboat ride in the sea of grass. It was enjoyable and we went to an old Indian village. We also saw a lot of alligators ranging from babies to adults. I would be remiss not to mention our amazing guide Darren. The sheer amount of knowledge he provided on the history of the area, the ecology and the wildlife was fantastic. He really made the day come together and ensured it was a great experience. Can't recommend this tour enough if you want to get immersed into the Everglades and Big Cypress. It's a long day but well worth it!!One of the best experiences I had in a very long time. It is beautiful and the tour guide is so knowledgeable and professional.
