What to expect
We are going to walk along a path in the central part of the island near the highest peak of Gran Canaria – Pico de las Nieves (1949m above sea level). One of the attractions is the view to the neighboring Roque Nublo, the east and south coast of the island and with good visibility of the Pico de Teide (3718m above sea level) in Tenerife.

- Not wheelchair accessible
- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- Sports or trekking shoes (with a good grip) are mandatory and will be checked by the guide before starting the excursion. During our routes, we recommend mountain clothing or sports clothing.
- In the period from April to September, rainfall is low, the temperature even in the highest part of the mountains is around 22 degrees, reaching up to 26 degrees in June, July and August. The T-shirt usually fits us well, but it is always good to wear long-sleeved clothing.
- The months of October to March are a variable period of time and more frequent rains (we always try to avoid carrying out our excursions during rainy days, but sometimes the weather can surprise us). It is recommended (during the mandatory cold days) warm clothing with long sleeves (pants, polartec) and a waterproof jacket that can work perfectly as a windbreaker.
- In case of force majeure that prevents the excursion from continuing or endangers the health or life of the excursion participants (weather conditions, etc.), the organizer reserves the right to modify the route or change it to another / another date, or cancel it.
- Recommended minimum age for children: 8 years.
- Considering that our lunch at the restaurant will be around 3:30 p.m. and your own way of eating, you can bring a light meal on your own, for example (fruits, energy bars, almonds, cookies, etc.). sandwich etc)

We had a great day, hiking in the mountains. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and loves the Canaries. You can pace yourself, take in the scenery and of course take lots of photos! I would go again on one the other trips.

Another fantastic day with Maciej and our new polish and Dutch friends we met on the Monday tour. What an absolutely wonderful hike with the most amazing views made possible by Maciej guiding us to the best spots where other guides don’t take you. Maciej is so knowledgeable and passionate about the island and makes everyone feel so welcome he is polish and speaks very good English Dutch and Spanish. So many wonderful little touches to the day and everyone’s needs catered for this is made possible of only a total of 8 people in his group each time . Pick up and drop off from hotel too. An assortment of terrain through beautiful alpine forests with the most breathtaking of views every turn there is something to see and so many photo opportunities. Once again another delicious lunch very friendly staff ( no goat today 😂) highly recommend the fish and pasta. We will definitely return and be in touch with Maciej to explore and hike to different places around Grand Canaria. A genuinely nice man.Maciej is very knowledgeable, took care of everyone in the party and we had a great trip alltogether with a fantastic views along the way.
