While many reviews will summarize the tour and the many exciting experiences along the way, I prefer to focus on customer service. Upon booking the trip, Unventured contacted me via WhatsApp to ensure that all of my needs were met and that all logistics were in hand. I was quickly at ease knowing the location to meet my guide and was pleased to know that the trip would take place even though I was the only client. My guide, Mr. Guru, was friendly and welcoming from start to finish. We quickly began conversations outside of the context of the tour and within minutes I felt as if I were biking with a dear friend. Mr. Guru continually catered to my every need. I especially enjoyed his impromtu lesson on the proper way to drink coconut water without a straw! We even stopped at an orchard to sample some of the local fruit. At the end of our tour, Mr. Guru even took it upon himself to ensure that I had transportation back to my hotel and contacted me through WhatsApp to make sure I had arrived. I believe it's those off-the-agenda details that make a trully extraordinary outfit. I'd highly recommend booking Unventured to imerse yourself in the culture, scenery, and hospitality that India has to offer. One would have enjoyed cycling in their childhood, but cycling around the city and visiting monumental places is such a lovely feeling. I must say that Unvetured have really come up on this very innovative & interesting idea, what a beautiful way to see different cities, kudos guys!!!

The tour started at Hard Rock Cafe, and while other travellers joined in to depart for Nandi Village, our tour host Tariq patiently answered my questions about the city of Bengaluru. We were a group of five like-minded travellers on this tour. Our first stop was a beautiful farmhouse with a picturesque view of the surroundings which made it a perfect set up for breakfast with a view. We rested for a while after b/f and did some stretching before heading for the bike fit, and Tariq made sure we all had the bikes adjusted to our height and were comfortable with cycles, its gears and breaks. I was excited and it was my first cycling ride into the countryside of Bengaluru and also for the interesting experiences along the way (I have uploaded pictures covering those places). We made various stops to learn about historical landmarks, pottery making, silk cocoon farming and reeling unit. This trail was a perfect combination of history with nature and activity and I loved learning about the local way of life here through interaction, stories and realising how some traditions are followed over the years (almost 1000 years) which showcases the harmony between the people from different religions and sects of the society which I would never learn about if it wasn't a guided Unventured experience. The tour ended with a delicious south Indian lunch meal at the farmhouse and not to forget the ice cream prepared by the host from the mangoes of their organic farm. Later we drove back to Hard Rock Cafe where I bid adieus to fellow travellers and our excellent tour guide. Thanks, Tariq- for being a great guide, host, and a friend who ensured I was comfortable all along the journey.Arjun was the best guide I've had to date for any trip, including US and abroad. Arjun was the best guide I've had to date for any trip, including US and abroad. Communication was excellent prior to my trip to answer multiple questions. Arjun was consummate host / guide / biking partner. I was the only guest, and as a female solo traveler, felt really cared for and safe throughout my journey. Arjun was informative and encouraged me to stop as often as desired to take pictures- which I have included here. We had a ton of conversation that ranged from food, travel, culture, religion, politics and just silly humor. What was I also impressed by - apart from amazing views and people, and great exercise and company? That Arjun took care of all tips and I did not spend one "dime" the entire 5 hours. I LOVE this- that you are not pressured to buy nor shop- it's all about the experience with people and places, not products. Brilliant. The entire trip exceeded my expectation and now I plan to start biking at home! Thanks Arjun- hope we may connect again on a future trip to Bangalore and would love to do the flower market trip you mentioned. My husband and I did the Nandi Hills cycling tour.
