Stop At: Shakadang Trail, Taroko National Park, Fushi Village, Xiulin Township, Xiulin 972 Taiwan
The Shakazhen Trail is 4.4 kilometers long, and it takes about two hours to walk one way. The most popular water-friendly route in summer is the Shakadang Trail. Shakadang is the general name of the valleys in the middle and lower reaches of the first tributary of the Liwu River, the Shakadang River. The entire trail runs along the left bank of the Shakadang River. In addition to enjoying the beautiful marble canyons and clear and charming streams along the trail, the first half of the trail is mostly open tunnels dug under the cliffs, which are also very distinctive. On the way, there are the former site of the checkpoint, the sand dam, and Sanjianwu and other strongholds.
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: Qingshui Cliff, Su-hua highway from Herping to Chungte, Xiulin 97253 Taiwan
Qingshui Cliff, located between Heping and Chongde, is a wonder on the east coast of Taiwan and one of the eight great scenic spots in Taiwan. Qingshui Cliff is more than 1, 000 meters high, facing the Pacific Ocean at an angle of almost 90 degrees. The road stretches for more than 20 kilometers and twists and turns. There are cliffs on one side and the vast sea on the other. Breathtaking.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Yanzihkou Trail (Swallow Grotto), Xincheng Township Xiulin Township, Hualien City Taiwan
Yanzikou is a section of marble cliff in the Taroko Gorge. There are many small caves on the cliff, which are potholes caused by long-term erosion of rivers and groundwater. Small swifts and foreign swallows often forage or build nests between the cliffs, forming a "pothole". The wonderful scene of "Hundred Swallows Ming Valley" has become "Swallows' Mouth".
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop At: Xiangde Temple, No.10 Tianxiang, Xiulin Town, Xiulin Taiwan
Xiangde Temple, which can be reached on foot from Taroko Tianxiang Recreation Area, faces deep streams and rushing water on three sides, with an altitude of 450 meters, surrounded by peaks, valleys and ravines. It is unforgettable.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Mugua River Valley, Xiulin Taiwan
Hualien Taroko Buluo Bay is a very good relay station in the one-day tour of Taroko. It includes the Buluo Bay Recreation Area, the most ramming Mountain Moon Suspension Bridge. Accommodation in Buluowan Shanyue Village, Huanliuqiu Park trails, etc., the entire Buluowan management station, as well as a visitor center, restaurants and food.
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: Eternal Spring Shrine, in Taroko National Park, Xiulin Taiwan
The Changchun Temple Trail is a special trail that can record Liwuxi Canyon, Broken Bridge Wonders and Caves at the same time without climbing high.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Chishingtan Scenic Area, No. 5_, Lane 79, Qixing Street, Xincheng Taiwan
Qixingtan Scenic Area has a blue coastline and smooth pebbles like eggs. Listening to the sound of waves, stacking stones, stepping on the waves, and watching the sunrise and sunset on the shore, no matter what you do in Qixingtan, it is an incomparable enjoyment.

The views in the Gorge are breathtaking and unlike anything else I've seen in my life. A must-do trip if you visit Taiwan. Very comfortable to do many trails having a driver that can drop you on trails where there is no parking and pick you up at the end. The most impressive trail in my opinion is the Baiyang Trail which leads you through caves and tunnels to the most inner and pure parts of tge Gorge. Danny was an excellent tour guide and driver, safely and fast getting from place to place and taking amazing pictures and videos. The best part about this tour was Danny our guide for this tour, he is by far the best guide I have ever experienced.
