Full Day Sani Pass and Lesotho Tour From Durban
Overview
you go up a gravel winding pass that is higher and steeper and much tougher than any of its Southern African competitors. This Pass offers the most exceptional views in South Africa. As the altitude increases, the road becomes narrower and more treacherous. All signs of human habitation disappear as you come face to face with the vast, desolate beauty of the Drakensberg Mountains.
As part of this tour, you visit a traditional Sotho village and interact with local Sotho people and learn about their culture. You also dine and drink in Africa's highest pub (own expense). This is an exceptional tour not to be missed.

Really enjoyed the tour, the drivers were friendly, the nature beautiful, and the Lesotho-beer in Africa's highest pub is cool! Would definitely book this company again. A general note for travellers, and this will be the same no matter which provider you choose, it's a LONG drive, you will see some beautiful nature and go the windy road up to Lesotho. The Lesotho part, unless you book a multi-day trip, will be literally a 2-minute drive in land and that's it. For me it was worth it, just be aware and then decide for yourself :)This was an excellent tour! This was an excellent tour! From the moment we were picked up in Durban city, we were impressed with the friendliness and knowledge of our driver. Bonus that the tour company accommodated us by adding a stop to pick up our friends in PMB! After arriving in Underberg, we were able to stop for coffee and treats before loading in to the 4X4 truck with Gregory. He was extremely knowledgable about the area and was a fun guide to spend the day with! We drove up the Sani pass with plenty of stops for photos & snacks! After finishing the pass, we took a stop in a local woman's home for freshly baked bread and the opportunity to buy some handmade crafts. We then went to the highest pub in Africa, were we had plenty of time to get some drinks & food. The views and experience were incredible - I would definitely recommend to a friend. FYI that it is a lot of driving, but the cars were comfortable and the many stops helped to break it up.This was a really good tour. We left Durban early in the morning. Headed to Underberg where we transfered into a 4 x 4 vehicle. We went on the Sani Pass and had the most magnificent views. It was really good.
