Overview
With this Tour you are able to leave in search of the contrasts provided by the valleys, streams and peaks of the island. You get to see picturesque places such as São Domingos and Assomada. You have the chance to visit the botanical garden at São Jorge. Visit the prison of Tarrafal and discover its history, followed by free time to take a bath in the beautiful Bay of Tarrafal.

This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Assomada Market, Durchzugstrassevon Praia nach Tarrafal, Assomada, Santiago 7310 Cape Verde
At 60km from Praia, you will visit Assomada, an important trading point, to visit its famous and typical market (opened on Wednesdays and Saturdays).
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Serra de Malagueta, Hauptstrasse von Praia nach Tarrrafal, Santiago Cape Verde
The journey continues through Serra Malagueta Park, with its beautiful eucalyptus forest, different kinds of acacias and other endemic plants. A perfect place to take some beautiful pictures.
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: Tarrafal Beach, Strand von Tarrafal, Tarrafal, Santiago 7110 Cape Verde
You will then reach Tarrafal, a fishing village, where a former concentration camp (now a museum) is located. There, it will be possible to visit the bay, surrounded by palm trees, which is one of the most famous beaches of Cabo Verde.
Lunch will be served at a typical restaurant. You are welcomed for a swim in the beautiful bay, after lunch.

Stop At: Pedra Badejo, Pedra Badejo, Santiago
On the way back you will be able to see small bays and groves and deserted beaches with black sand. There will be a stop at the Rabelados village, a community that rebelled against society and church in the colonial time, and keeps their unique traditions. There you will see their paintings and learn about their culture.

Our guide Bruno took me across the length and breadth of Santiago island in a single day. We saw the verdant hillsides, scenery, beaches, towns and monuments. Bruno had a good knowledge of the history and geography of Cape Verde and Santiago and I truly enjoyed this trip

My son and I booked the tour to Tarrafal and the concentration camp. It was a Tuesday, and perhaps since Saturday and Wednesday are more popular for visiting the Assomada market, we were the only ones on the tour. My son and I booked the tour to Tarrafal and the concentration camp. It was a Tuesday, and perhaps since Saturday and Wednesday are more popular for visiting the Assomada market, we were the only ones on the tour. At the eco village Zenildo gave us a good overview of the islands, their history, flora and fauna. Assomada market was a bonus as I thought it was only open two days a week. There were plenty of stops along the way to take photos. We visited the concentration camp and then Tarrafal for lunch and the beach. It was an enjoyable trip along the east coast, including a stop the the lovers grotto to sample the local rum, and rum with ground peanuts. Zenildo is a great guide, who made the tour so much more enjoyablechriscanada2019

Autant pour le tour de l'île de Santiago qui était magnifique que pour mes autres voyages sur l'île de Boa Vista durant lequel Sandra m'a beaucoup aidé à faire face aux imprévus de mon autre voyage avec la compagnie aérienne etc pour que je profite au mieux de mon temps sur place. Leurs recommendations ont été excellentes et on se sent entre de très bonnes mains et en confiance. Le service était bien au delà de mes attentes.
