So glad I booked this experience! It was a great way to see Uluru up close and learn about its history and significance to the Anangu people. The breakfast/snacks that were included were good. I thought the items selected were well chosen for a trek- fruit, muesli, etc. Not the typical sugar and heavy salt you get with some tours. Sunrise was spectacular. Georgia, our guide for the morning, was amazing! She arrived to pick up with a smile and friendly attitude (despite it being 5:30 in the morning). She took the time to introduce and get to know everyone on the bus before we arrived and began our trek. Throughout the journey she made sure to check in on all group members and make sure we were doing well. Overall, a great tour! I highly recommend the base walk and with SEIT.The best crew around! The best crew around! We mistakenly arrived in Uluru, without planning many of our excursions. When we asked about finding a tour that was culturally sound, everyone in courage to us to reach out to the Seit team about the Patji tour, where you are guided by an Anangu elder. When we went to the desk, we found that there was only one spot for the tour on Thursday. Instead of telling the two of us, “too bad, so sad”, Ben, Andy, and everyone we encountered did everything they could to find a way for us to have spots the next day. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out, but we were pleasantly pleased with the tour we did end up on. The guide, Kayla, was Amazing!! She was actually the same guide who had done the Patji tour the day before, so we were really pleased to be with her. She was patient, gracious and clear throughout the day. And her respect, reference, and knowledge about the local Anangu culture Was definitely the next best option. Thank you so much to everyone from the sea and team for your kindness, your compassion, and an all-around excellent trip. Highly recommend, I will see you again soon!We booked at last minute this tour with SEIT Outback Australia as we had already experienced their excellent Alice Springs Tour, and they specialise in small group tours which we prefer. We booked at last minute this tour with SEIT Outback Australia as we had already experienced their excellent Alice Springs Tour, and they specialise in small group tours which we prefer. The tour was already fully booked but Julia in the booking office arranged a bigger bus to accommodate us. We were met at our hotel at 5.15am by our excellent guide, Johanna. The tour is 6 hours and especially in the summer months, needs to be wrapped up before the temperature gets dangerously hot. This tour does require a good level of general fitness as it is a 12km trek around the circumference of Uluru, but luckily our party of 8 where all able to complete with some ease. Jo was constantly checking everyone was coping ok with the heat and ensured we were constantly drinking enough water. Throughout the tour we learned so much about the history of Uluru and the indigenous peoples of the region, including how the land has been given back to them and hearing stories of their cultural beliefs. It is possible to do this walk without a guide but it was definitely worth the cost to hear so expertly from a true professional tour guide. Thank you again, Jo, for an amazing and insightful morning at the stunningly beautiful Uluru! We did this sunrise Uluru circumferential trek with the awesome guide Jason today. We did this sunrise Uluru circumferential trek with the awesome guide Jason today. It was the only way we could get to visit Uluru as everything was booked out but it was the best day! Jason was very knowledgeable and clearly has a passion for sharing what he has learned about the local people & cultural significance of the area. Props for managing a group with varying fitness levels and being a hero when it comes to the 'grammable' pics 👌👌 10/10 recommend.
