What to expect
Day 1: Baltra and South Plaza Islands
Stop At: Baltra, Baltra, Galapagos Islands
Once you land in Baltra, we will have an immediate transfer to the nearby dock to board Yacht La Pinta. After an introductory briefing onboard, you will partake in an emergency boat drill, be assigned to your cabin and then be invited to lunch. We will set anchor and get on our way to our next adventure.
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: South Plaza Island, Ecuador
The turquoise waters of the channel here contrast brilliantly with the white sand beach and volcanic rocks that make up the shoreline. A carpet of scarlet-colored sesuvium succulents sits at the base of a large cluster of luminescent-green prickly-pear cacti. Crawling around this entire scene are the yellow-greyish land iguanas. Along the coastline, we will walk right by sea lion colonies while seabirds play along the cliffs of this small but spectacular island.
Duration: 3 hours
Meals included:

•
Accommodation included: Luxury Double Cabin (2 guests)
Day 2: Santa Fe and San Cristobal Island
Stop At: Santa Fe Island, Santa Fe Island, Galapagos Islands
We take the dinghy from Yacht La Pinta over to this idyllic white-sand beach that’s populated with colonies of sea lions. Galapagos hawks are often easily observed here, typically found sitting perched atop the salt bushes. The brilliantly yellow Santa Fe land iguana, which is exclusive to just this island (in the whole world!), might also be spotted during the walk. Following the walk, you’ll have your choice of swimming and snorkeling along a natural wave barrier.
Duration: 3 hours
Stop At: Galapaguera de Cerro Colorado, Galapagos National Park, 120506 Ecuador
After lunch, we will disembark at Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, the archipelago’s capital city. Following this, we will take a 40-minute drive over to the island’s southern shore. Once there, at Cerro Colorado, we will visit the Breeding Center for the highly-endangered giant tortoises that amble around a fantastic deciduous forest. This forest is also home to dozens of bird species, including the San Cristobal mockingbird and the San Cristobal lava lizard

Accommodation included: Luxury Double Cabin (2 guests)
Day 3: San Cristobal Island
Stop At: Punta Pitt, Ecuador
On this morning, we land at the eastern tip of San Cristobal Island. The trail that ascends from the beach provides spectacular views of the shoreline, allowing guests to observe frigatebirds plus a colony of bachelor sea lions. After the walk, you will have the chance to swim along the beach and snorkel, weather permitting.
Duration: 3 hours
Stop At: Cerro Brujo, Isola San Cristobal Ecuador
After lunch, a dinghy ride along the shores will take us over to Cerro Brujo’s expansive, white coral beach. This is a great site for walking, with rewarding birdwatching opportunities that feature plenty of seabirds and shorebirds. Galapagos sea lions will also be present. History Fact: These are the same shores that Charles Darwin walked along back in September of 1835.

Accommodation included: Luxury Double Cabin (2 guests)
Day 4: Española Island
Stop At: Punta Suarez, . Ecuador
The morning outing at Punta Suárez provides an exciting walk across lava terrain to visit the unique seabird colonies that populate this area. Waved albatrosses (visible from April until January), boobies, swallow-tailed gulls, and the famous “blowhole” geological formation await! Also, you’ll want to keep an eye out for the red-green-black marine iguanas! Many regard this site as one of the best in all Galapagos. Afterwards, we will head back onboard for lunch.
Duration: 3 hours
Stop At: Gardner Bay, Espanola Island Ecuador
In the afternoon, we will disembark at this beautiful, white coral beach for a short walk to observe the sea lions, mockingbirds and finches. You can also choose to simply enjoy the beach. There is great snorkeling in this area. Alternatively, you can opt to kayak or take a ride aboard our glass-bottom boat.

Day 5: Santa Cruz and Baltra Islands
Stop At: Charles Darwin Research Station, Ave Charles Darwin, Puerto Ayora 200350 Ecuador
After disembarking at the Puerto Ayora docks in the morning, we will visit the Charles Darwin Research Station and get a chance to check out the breeding program for giant tortoises. You will also get a good sense of the efforts and progress that the Foundation and National Park have made in terms of conservation. Afterwards, we will take a bus that will take us up and over Santa Cruz Island to the opposite coast. Once there, a short ferry ride will take us across the channel to Baltra Island and then the airport. This Galapagos journey ends at Baltra Island, where you will board your flight back to the mainland. Baltra’s flat substrate (due to its tectonically uplifted origin) is the reason for why this island was chosen back in the 1940’s as the construction site for an airport.

The adventure started the moment we stepped on board, with a warm welcome from the crew and a cabin that felt like a cozy haven. The daily excursions were like a dream, from snorkeling with playful sea lions to hiking through otherworldly landscapes. The guides were not just knowledgeable but passionate about the unique ecosystem of the islands. And the food? Surprisingly gourmet for a small ship, with fresh seafood that made my taste buds sing. But what truly sets this cruise apart is the sense of being immersed in the untouched beauty of the Galápagos. The intimate, small-ship experience allows for up-close encounters with wildlife and an appreciation for the pristine environment. It's not just a cruise; it's a journey that connects you to the wonders of nature and leaves you with a profound love for these enchanted islands. If you're looking for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, Yacht La Pinta's Galápagos cruise is it! 🚢I can’t say enough about Metropolitan Touring! I can’t say enough about Metropolitan Touring! From the minute we arrived at the Quito airport, they had every detail of our trip organized eliminating stress and making our trip a great experience. We took a day tour of Quito and our guide G was outstanding. Aboard the LaPinta, all crew members were friendly and professional. We loved the islands on this tour. All of the excursions were well planned in order to see the uniqueness of each island. Safety was a priority and we felt pampered the entire time. The guides were knowledgeable and always took time for questions and picture taking. Metropolitan’s agent Trent with Velocity Tours and Travel lived in Ecuador and his knowledge of Quito and the Galapagos helped us plan the perfect trip. He booked flights, hotels, transportation, tours and our Galapagos cruise.Maravillosa experiencia! Personal de primera, la mejor atención. Semana en familia inolvidable! Muchas gracias amigos!! If you want to see what the Galapagos has to offer, La Pinta is for you! Our family of three had an amazing time. We booked with Melissa at Metropolitan. She was very responsive and very helpful in answering all my questions. We can't say enough good/positive things about the experience. The staff was very attentive, and food was delicious and plentiful. This is a very active tour of the Galapagos with lots of snorkeling options (be prepared to swim with sea lions), and day excursions. We got to see plenty of wildlife and the guides were very good about spotting the sea life in the water and onshore. We highly recommend La Pinta! See a few photos! We took so many that it's really hard to capture the beauty of the Galapagos. The guides including our excursion leader Mari were fabulous, and the front desk manager Jennifer helped us daily to try and locate our lost luggage which was not the ship's fault! The food was lovely and served daily by the professional Diego who bought me delicious gluten free options daily. The guides including our excursion leader Mari were fabulous, and the front desk manager Jennifer helped us daily to try and locate our lost luggage which was not the ship's fault! The food was lovely and served daily by the professional Diego who bought me delicious gluten free options daily. However, we wished we had booked directly with Metropolitan for our 7 night bucket list which I am sure would have saved us some money, and we also wished we had done the 5 day ,not 8, because you really do see most everything you wanted like boobies, pelicans, penguins, iquanas, turtles and sea lions in the first days and honestly I get sea sick! The excursions leave very early in the morning to avoid the heat so you get a siesta after lunch, but do not miss the snorkeling which was amazing as we swam with sharks, marine iguanas, turtles, rays, hogfish, huge schools of colorful angel fish, and sea lions!
