Enjoy the Sri Lanka’s world renowned spices at their source. Visit a spice garden, where smells of cinnamons, pepper, cardamom, nutmeg and mace overwhelm the senses and the visitors are provided an insight into an age old industry of spice production, which attracted many a European and Asian merchants to the ports of ancient Sri Lanka.

26th of December 2004 was a very dark day for Sri Lanka. Because Tsunami tragedy came to Sri Lanka's southern province. In this museum contains photos of this tragedy. You can see it while you travel to Galle. Warning - If you are a scared or traumatized person, You should not see this museum after that we can see the Tsunami Memorial place also closed by.

Right on the coast north of Hikkaduwa is this statue of a standing Buddha facing the waves with his hands in the abhaya mudra (Buddha pose conveying fearlessness and protection). The statue is a replica of Afghanistan's Bamiyan Buddha, which was destroyed by the Taliban in 2001.

After having had a great experience with Dim on the Udawalawe tour, we decided to book this one as well. This tour is a great way to see many things during a day, where the turtle stop and the boat tour were our favourite stops! Additionally we didn't spend much time travelling between places, which was nice. More time spent the Galle city (not only the fort) would have been nice, but then a few other stops would have had to be scrapped to make time for that.
