The trip was well organised, good driver and visited many sites. It is a long day but worth the effort. The issue that we had was with the guide. Although well intentioned and enthusiastic his English was not satisfactory for an English speaking tour. He seemed to have remembered all the facts and figures and delivered them as if reading from a book in a poor style. Our attempts at asking questions were frustrated as he rarely gave an answer relevant to the question which highlighted his lack of English skills. The company needs to provide further english training to him before he takes another tour.Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and tour bus was comfortable. Would definitely recommend this day trip to Gallipoli.

Its a good 4 hour drive without stops from Istanbul, so not great for a day trip with so much to see. We stayed locally and had time for a good look around at some of the 1st World War battlefields sites and military cemeteries. Very, very humbling. On the peninsula there was a good wind which was helpful in the heat. Once there there is not much shade in the national park and few places to eat, which is about right. When you look at what those fighting had to endure, its nothing! Fully recommended and very well maintained. A must visit if in area. The tour was okay. Our guide John was a nice guy. The tour was okay. Our guide John was a nice guy. Areas of improvement: 1. Have a vehicle where all people face forward with 1 Prove a vehicle with sufficient space for legs. We have mini van that had seats facing one another. For 8hours worth of sitting it was inadequate and uncomfortable. The vehicle was clearly meant for Istanbul tours (opinion), a hop out hop back in style of vehicle meant for city travel. 2. Clear pronunciation of words is important for the tour to be of value. Our guides English was 3/5. Both of us found it difficult to follow what was said and gave up asking for repeats. So the learning here is language skills that are clear to the listener is very important. 3. Bring the story alive. Our guide seemed to parrot repeat the written tourist material placed by the government/tourist board. There was zero value added to his story. 4. Tailor the story to your audience. Our guide told us repeatedly how amazing the Turkey Army was. As an Australian visiting interesting stories of what we did is far more valuable than nationalistic chest beating. 5. The structure of the tour is completely wrong. 7am pick up. Breakfast stop around 9.30 for 30mins. Then the plan was to drive to a place for lunch arriving 11.30 and to stay there for two hours! Poor tour management here. This we got changed: breakfast 15mins, we did the tour first and then lunch around 2.30-3pm for about 45mins. This then got us back to Istanbul around 8pm. These long extended timeframes for breakfast and lunch and the order were not optimum. On the good side, John was okay to change as above. Summary There is a lot of opportunity to improve and add consumer value to this tour.Whilst we are pleased we did this trip and really enjoyed the incredible settings; although very somber, which was to be expected, our trip was let down due to our guide. Whilst we are pleased we did this trip and really enjoyed the incredible settings; although very somber, which was to be expected, our trip was let down due to our guide. He was a very nice person but his command of English significantly compromised our understanding. Fortunately everywhere there is excellent signage in Turkish and English. Without this we would have struggled. We also have a good knowledge of the Gallipoli story anyway. This is not a cheap day trip and we felt very let down regarding our guide. Our guide, Burak, was fantastic! He knew his history, and was able to illustrate the battles with examples and historical photos from 1915. Highly recommend this tour!
