We visited the Amazon from the US and brought our whole family. Joshua and his team were fantastic. They went above and beyond and even picked us up at the airport to take us to our hotel and dropped us off after. Joshua communicates with you personally the entire time and you always have his cell #. Our guides were outstanding (Ken and Cobra, along with the boat drivers) and spoke fluent English. Very good food, customer service, they didn't nickel and dime or pressure us for anything... Our favorites were visiting a local tribe and some of the people living along the river. Piranha fishing and seeing the wildlife were really cool. There are a lot of terrifying bugs around, but when your lodge is 20 feet from the Amazon river in the middle of the jungle, that's part of the experience. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. We had a great time and would recommend it to everyone. This was a fantastic, once in a lifetime 3 days and 2 nights tour! This was a fantastic, once in a lifetime 3 days and 2 nights tour! You’re always nervous booking trips in a different country when there aren’t many reviews but this gamble paid off. Joshua’s Amazon Expeditions is well run, their communication is good and with Cobra, they surely have the best Guide there is. Growing up there, his local knowledge meant we could experience the real Amazonia. He’s well educated which meant he was teaching us for the duration of the trip. Thank you Cobra! Tucan Lodge met expectations, please do not expect luxury but for somewhere so remote, it met our needs for a short trip. Staff were friendly, food was satisfactory, AC was ineffective (electric fan worked better) and it had WiFi (which is a good or bad thing depending on which way you look at it!). Mosquito repellent is a must...the little blighters. We had a great time on our trip with Josh's Amazon tours. We had a great time on our trip with Josh's Amazon tours. While only 2 nights we covered a lot of ground with plenty of time for relxing in hammocks. Advice would be to chat with you guide everyday about what you want to do, we quicky found out the itinerary is there as a starting base and can change depending on weather or something else you want to do. We also met others on the trip, our group was small but also at the lodge. Enjoy!Unfortunately our flight was delayed into Manaus and we were late for the first day activities, but 1 quick call to Joshua and he had arranged a new driver to collect us from the airport when we landed who took us straight to the lodge and the rest of the tour. Unfortunately our flight was delayed into Manaus and we were late for the first day activities, but 1 quick call to Joshua and he had arranged a new driver to collect us from the airport when we landed who took us straight to the lodge and the rest of the tour. Joshua was very professional and spoke very good English. He kept in contact with me throughout the whole delay ensuring we made it onto our new flight and that there were no issues. The jungle experience was incredible and we were lucky to have Matias as a guide who also spoke perfect English and knew the rainforest like the back of his hand. The experience was amazing and would strongly recommend this to all everyone.Joshua's brother Marco collected us from the airport & took us to our hotel for 1 night before our tour. Joshua's brother Marco collected us from the airport & took us to our hotel for 1 night before our tour. Then collected us again early next morning to take us into the Amazon. It surpassed our expectations, it was really well organised & great customer service. To wake up in the morning & see grey dolphins swimming past our lodge was a delight. Titan our guide, his wife & 6 year old son were lovely & looked after us very well.
