This was an offer that delivered 5*! Prestelli were quick & efficient in setting up our very personalised, tour (thanks Nadia!). Our guide, Marco, was informative & very good company in the stunning hill villages of Savoca, where we visited Bar Vitelli, where Michael asked for Appollonia's hand in marriage. Marco also expertly guided us to the Church of St Nicolo, where the wedding scene in the movie played out and also the very precious San Michele- the "Soul of Savoca". We were lucky to meet the lady who played Appollonia's mother, who still lives in Savoca & enjoyed lunch at a restaurant where the food & wine was as lovely as the welcoming service. We then shared Marco' passion at the sadly abandoned state of Forzo d'Argo's village centre. We had a very, very good time. Highly recommend: "Leave the gun; take the cannoli" 🙂What a wonderful day. Our tour guide was Marco, and he was awesome. He had so much knowledge of the local area (also because he lives near Savoca), as well as historical knowledge of how the mafia began, so he made the tour very interesting and fun for us. Seeing the many sights where parts of the movie were filed was a very cool experience for us. Thank you so much Marco! Danny & MikeGreat tour. Great tour. The communication before the tour started was fantastic, especially when it came to arranging where to be picked up from. Marco was also a brilliant tour guide, he’s a super friendly guy with knowledge on not just The Godfather but Sicily as a whole. Safe driver too. Upon arrival to the locations, Marco allows you enough to soak the atmosphere in and never feels rushed, and he was always happy to answer and questions. If you’re looking to visit the godfather locations with a guide, I’d highly suggest this one!If I could give this tour more than five stars, I would! Marco was amazing. He knows everyone in the towns and made our experience incredibly meaningful, including a free limoncello shot in the same place Anthony Bourdain visited. The wonderful knowledge Marco had about the movie, the villages we visited and the history of the area. We would recommend this tour to anyone with an interest in The Godfather, and would suggest you ask for Marco personally. One of the best guides we have had in our six trips to Italy. We hope to see him again someday.
