Our tour guide Wondimu was amazing — very friendly and knowledgeable. This tour is advertised as a 9-hour long tour to visit 4 sites, but it only took us about 6 hours to see everything, after which our guide and driver had been told they could depart. Since we were unsure about getting around Gondar and had planned to rely the whole day on a guide and driver, this was frustrating to us that the tour had been advertised incorrectly. But our guide and driver were kind enough to accompany us for the rest of the day despite the fact that the tour company had told them they’d be free to go after a few hours (so we ended up needing to pay them extra to compensate them fairly for their time).
