If I could leave more than 5 stars I would. I had the most incredible day and met so many wonderful people onboard. Upon arriving at the boat we were first welcomed by the friendly photographer, who took photographs all day long that we would later get the option to purchase if we wished. After having welcome photos, we were welcomed onboard by the rest of the incredible crew. Each and every one of them greeted you with a smile while efficiently providing the necessary gear for the day (i.e. flippers, snorkel and stinger suit). There was also complimentary tea and coffee while we waited for everyone to arrive. Once everyone was onboard we set off and the crew introduced themselves and gave us a bit more information about the day. The Indigenous Sea Rangers were an absolute delight (as were the rest of the crew!) And throughout the day provided an array of engaging musical performances and talks. Everyone was in such high spirits and it really did add to the wonderful experience. We went to two beautiful sites where we were able to snorkel our lives away (or just hang out on the boat). There was also a glass bottom boat tour available free of charge. In addition there was a marine biologist onboard who offered guided snorkel tours at an additional cost, but was also more than happy to point out where some of the more popular fish were *cough* Nemo. Now for the scuba diving... At the very start of the trip those of us who were doing the scuba dive were asked to gather around some reserved tables where we got introduced to some of the dive instructors and informed about the equipment, a lite bit of science (nothing too scary!) and allocated time slots for our dives. This was great as it enabled us to feel more informed about what the dive will entail and how it will feel. When my time to scuba dive came I was going through all the emotions (because you know, breathing under water seems weeeeird) but the friendly crew were always there for reassurance and to answer every question. We were in small groups of no more than 3 with a qualified instructor. After getting to grips with the breathing apparatus we slowly entered the water, with professional support around us at all times. We had a couple of small tasks to perform before we could proceed with the dive to ensure we were capable which was reassuring as it meant we weren't just going to get thrown in! Once our instructor was happy with our capabilities (and of course we were happy to commence) the dive officially began. I can't fully remember how long it was, but it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life in the most beautiful location. My instructor, Jordan, was amazing and constantly checking we were okay *cue hand signal* and supported us the entire time. Another thing I would like to add, I made a friend on the boat and when it came to the dive time she panicked a bit, however a wonderful member of dive staff took her aside, talked to her for a bit and managed to convince her to proceed with the dive 1:1 and she was SO glad she did it. After finishing at the second site the marine biologist performed a small fish feeding presentation which was great fun to watch. We then headed back to Cairns, once again with plenty of educational entertainment for the duration of our journey (if people didn't want to participate though or watch the performances they didn't have to). As we pulled into the harbour there was a final goodbye performance to ensure everyone finished the day on a high! I honestly cannot recommend Dreamtime Dive and Snorkel enough. I would give a shoutout to each and every one of the staff members however I can't quite remember all their names so just take my word that they were all amazing! I hope this review helps somebody, and if any staff read this, THANK YOU FOR THE BEST DAY EVER :-DI was super excited for this experience given all the amazing reviews I’d read already. The day did not disappoint but exceeded. The places they took us and the people that took care of us all day were incredible. It was fun and educational and beautiful. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

We visited two reefs, one a bit calmer than the other, but both amazing. The marine guides were so knowledgeable and supportive of our experience. Food fantastic. Vibe on board was great. I would go again if I could.

This was a terrific mix of snorkelling on the GBR with several cultural presentations by the very personable young Indigenous crew members. Caitlin, the onboard Marine Biologist, was also very informative and helpful with supporting all passengers to enjoy the reef and snorkelling at their ability /confidence levels. The catering was also plentiful and delicious! Highly recommend this experience.
