This tour is a 10/10 all around, an unforgettable experience!! Oscar is extremely knowledeable and willing to answer any and all questions you may have. The fruit tasting was great as I was able to taste a bunch of fruits I’ve never even heard of (yet were delicious). The coffee farm experience is truly once in a lifetime—the local farmer teaches you how coffee is made from seed and seedling to the pouring of the final product in your cup, as well as getting to pick your own coffee beans. You also benefit from being away from all the huge tourist groups and in your small group with Oscar so you can even ask the coffee farmer himself any questions. Then, we headed to the big boulder (it was raining, oh well), but at the top was still a sight to see because we were essentially higher than the clouds due to the elevation which made for a cool but different experience. Then we headed to a local restaurant in Guatapé that Oscar knew about which serves up authentic foods and flavors. Finally, we strolled the colorful streets of Guatapé admiring the zócalo facades while Oscar explained the meaning behind it all. If you’re visiting Medellín, this tour is 100% a must do, you will not regret it!
