Script
The route begins with a walk along the "Ecological Trail of the Indian", a trail that leads to the Canoe Base located on the banks of the Iguaçu River. All the way is accompanied by a lot of information about the Atlantic Forest and the biome, anthropology and culture.
Arriving at the Canoe Base is where the instructions take place and the safety equipment is placed. After everything prepared we embarked for a paddling, following towards the Tamanduá River, a light and very relaxing canoeing activity. The region's lush landscape provides magical moments of contact with nature.
In Rio Tamanduá we disembark and walk along a trail to the Toca Waterfall. After contemplating and bathing in the waterfalls, we returned to the kayaks and paddled back to the base.
In the last part of the tour we contemplated the Juruvá Waterfall, and then we followed the trail back.

This day was booked thru our private guide. It was exactly what we wanted - short hike to the river. Kayaking to a spot where we got out and walked to beautiful rapids areas on the river. You need to wear shoes in the river since there are sharp rocks. We did it barefoot carefully and got away with it since we did not want to hike back in wet sneakers. The people were all so kind making it a great day.We paddled, hiked and sat in the waterfall - what a nice and off-the-beaten-track experience, with a very friendly and knowledgable guide! As an extra, we visited a local beekeeper on our way back and he showed us his whole setup. Great Eco-venture, we wish you lots of success for the future!

Decided to book this tour after reading some of the other reviews and was not disappointed. Spent 3 enjoyable hours trekking, kayaking and swimming in the waterfall. Good English speaking guide. All very helpful. Not the easiest place to find but they were so helpful speaking directly to the taxi driver. You need walking shoes/ trainers that your comfortable getting wet and insect repellent for the forest walks. You trek down to the river. Kayak for a bit and then walk through forest to an idyllic waterfall. All supported by competent staff. Would recommend if you want something different to the mass tourist things of the falls.Diego and Jefferson were the perfect guides on our canoe trip. The day was perfect--not too hot and not too cold. Our guides pointed out birds, fishermen, and hidden houses in the trees. The hike to the waterfall at the end of the trip was the perfect way to conclude the day.
