Guided Island Eco Tour - CLEAR or Standard Kayak or Board
Overview
Our Five-Star guided eco-tours and rentals take you through Estero Bay and the Gulf of Mexico’s most incredible paddling routes... including mangrove tunnels, secluded beaches, and prime shelling areas! Our area is prime habitat for dolphins (year round) and manatees (more abundant in warm water months).
We use top quality standard kayaks and paddleboards that are comfortable and easy to paddle. We now have CLEAR kayaks & paddleboards too!
Complementary photos included!
Looking for something truly unique? Try our CLEAR Kayak Sunset Glow Tour. We will paddle to a secluded beach for shelling until sunset, then we turn on the colorful underwater LED lights and have a great time paddling back!
Inclusions
- PFDs, dry boxes, map + wildlife guide
- Complementary tour photos
- Free Parking
What to expect
Join us for a guided eco tour at Big Hickory Island in Bonita Springs. Choose a standard or CLEAR kayak or paddleboard. We'll paddle at a relaxed pace in search of dolphins, birds, and manatees while sharing local eco-system info.
We are open 7 days a week and promise to provide you with exceptional service so come on out and let us show you how easy it is to get out and have some fun on the water! Our paddling routes are some of the best in Southwest Florida and allow you to experience the mangroves trails and tunnels, the Gulf of Mexico, and the beautiful
Island beach!
During a guided eco-tour you will have the chance to be up close with marine life and it’s quite common to see dolphins, and sometimes manatees (summer).
We suggest you bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bottled water, and water shoes.
CLEAR kayaks have a total passenger weight limit of 425 pounds per boat and a maximum of 250 pounds per seat. Our Standard single and tandem kayaks have higher limits and track better through the water. Contact us if you have questions!
Minimum age is 3 years old. We have youth sized PFDs but suggest that parents provide a quality, fitted PFD for children under 50 pounds.

We took a guided tour with Michael. We had kayaks and paddle boards in our group. Michael was very good to include everyone when explaining our surroundings. So easy for us since paddleboards and kayaks were already in the water when we arrived and they took care of everything at the end of the tour. Michael also had taken pictures of all of us on the excursion and it was easily transferable for each of us for our trip memories. My husband and I did the guided kayak tour. My husband had never kayaked before, and it had been over 10 years for me. Our guide, Michael, gave our group a brief overview of kayaking before we started. We didn’t see any manatees or dolphins during our tour, but it was still a fantastic time. We really enjoyed the small island we stopped at and the huge number of shells there! Our guide shared a lot of facts about the area with us. I would highly recommend a tour with Paddle Naples for anyone visiting the area!We had the most wonderful kayak tour with Michael! We stopped at a beautiful beach (great shelling!) to walk around, went through mangroves, and were lucky enough be right next to both a dolphin and (lucky us!) a manatee. Cannot recommend this tour more! I can't wait to come back and do it again!
