Very authentic experience! The tour was very nice. We were able to see all the olives ready to be milled because we went in November. Afterwards we enjoyed a delicious tasting of olive oil, local wine and pastries. A must go!

Tomeu has a nice way of explaining everything. Afterwards you will taste the various products home to Mallorca (delicious). All in all we recommend to visit Can Det if you visit Soller!

Knowledge of land, climate and making of local produce was fascinating.

I cannot say enough good things about this tour! We were in the area for the day and found it on maps. You come to a 400 year old building and get a tour of the facilities and house from a member of the family, a family that has carried on these traditions for hundreds of years! Happy to answer all questions and go above and beyond. Our “tasting” ended up being almost a full meal of all local goods of the highest quality. I cannot recommend this tour enough!Having lived nearby and known of Can Det for many years it was wonderful to be able to visit and hear of the history of this 400 year old, authentic family business, still operating today. In our technological, fast paced, flashy world, it’s refreshing to visit a place where the old fashioned ways are still valued and productive. Most people love the Sóller valley but it’s unique nature is down to the way the terraces have been used to grow olives and oranges. Can Det is unusual in still using a traditional press and making olive oil from ripe( black ) olives from small local producers. We had an interesting tour of the house and the olive mill and then a tasting and tapas in the charming courtyard garden. We hope to visit again late autumn to see the mill in full swing as this years crop is pressed. Thanks for the local insight and a great visit!
