I was lucky enough to have accidentally booked one of the most awesome, life-changing experiences I’ve ever. I thought I was booking a simple sightseeing tour, but I ended up making a great friend. Bruno ended up being one of the most passionate, knowledgeable, funny, kind, and caring people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. He’s the type of person that you can immediately tell loves his job, his island, and his life; his love for the island and it’s sights is contagious. I actually missed the pick up time in the morning of the tour, mistakenly believing that the tour started at 9 instead of 7. Bruno messaged me to check to see if everything was ok, and because I was the only one who had booked the tour, he just offered to pick me up at 9. It’s a shame that nobody else had booked the tour because the experience was simply amazing. I loved the pineapple company, which is also expanding into grapes, dragon fruits, and other awesome fruit. We also got to experience smaller hidden gems such as Canary Lake, a beautiful small church, and a cute buffet place for lunch. Of course we also saw all of the huge sights and scenes, my reason for coming on the tour in the first place. Places like Sete Cidades took my breath away, the abandoned hotel was the perfect viewpoint for the amazing green and blue lake. Bruno’s knowledge of every place we went is unparalleled, and you know that something is truly amazing when the tour guide still has his breath taken away. I was also lucky enough to have absolutely perfect weather conditions to see the Lagoa do Fogo clearly. Bruno offered to take pictures of me at all the locations, which never even crossed my mind, which gave birth to a small project that I never would have done if it wasn’t for him. His English was amazing, and he taught me so much about Portuguese, not to mention that he is an absolute joker and is quite honestly hysterical. I loved my day with Bruno and I’m glad that I can now call him a true friend. I’ll never forget my day in the Azores with him. When you go on this tour, ask him to make a cow sound for you, and let me know if he’s still got it! Thank you so much Bruno, from the bottom of my heart! Until next time, my friend! This tour is amazing. Traveling over the island and witnessing the diverse beauty of Sao Miguel, felt like I truly was walking into the wild. Bruno is very kind and generous with his time and shares his appreciation and knowledge of Sao Miguel. He is is a great guide and makes you feel instantly comfortable and paced the day so it was never rushed, it felt like a day exploring the island with my long lost friend. Pick up and drop off is at your accommodation so you don’t have to rush to a location you aren’t familiar with. Lunch at a Restaurant Lagoa Azul was delicious. All in all a really great experience. There is light hiking, you can do it with trainers and comfortable clothing. Bring a towel, suit and maybe flip flops with you to soak in the hot springs. I was lucky that it was only me and another person on the tour that day so it very much felt like a private tour! We had a ton of fun and took some amazing pictures at each stop. I did plenty of research before booking this tour and was truly impressed with the great value and quality of service. Bruno even provided recommendations on the best local restaurants and other activities to do around the island. Long story short - DO IT! You won't regret it and will see many of the top attractions on the island.koshat86

Many thanks to Bruno for making my birthday one that I will never forget. The full day Sete Cidaded, Lagoa do Fogo and Ribiera Grande experience was absolutely breathtaking. I've taken guided group tours in the past. In fact, the day before touring with Bruno, I joined a group tour that went to Furnas and Nordeste. There was only two stops in Furnas and one stop in Nordeste. I was left disappointed because I didn't get to appreciate these spots for what they were known for. My first private tour in a foreign country was with Bruno, and it was great. As a solo female traveler, taking this tour with Bruno was very safe and comfortable. Bruno is truly a gentleman. Sete Cidades and Lagoa de Fogo has stunning views. Bruno is a great tour guide. He explains the history of the island and took interest in answering any questions I had. Bruno is a native of San Miguel and appreciates the beauty of his home, which is what makes touring with him even better. Bruno is very familiar with all the roads and takes you to various spots at each location to maximize your experience at each viewpoint. As the day I toured with Bruno was my birthday, he took me to an ice cream shop so I could enjoy the day with something sweet. He also took me to Ribiera Grande so I can experience the "beach feel" of this town. Thank you Bruno for providing such an amazing experience in Sao Miguel.
